OBAMA speech fact check

Recommended Posts

ROFLMAO. Yeah, Obama just asked for 600+ billion as a DOWN PAYMENT on his health plan. But no, he's not making any permanent structural changes to health care is he? Not to mention that that post has NOTHING to do with this thread. That was a reply to someone who asked why I'm riding Obama so hard. Those are MY fears. You don't have to agree with them. I'm sure a lot of Obama kool aid drinkers don't. They listen to his BS and believe him despite the fact that he hasn't upheld ONE campaign promise yet except for starting down his Robin Hood road of taking from the rich to give to the poor. Why don't you address the topic of this thread instead of a tangential post that has nothing to do with it?

I'm sorry you're so afraid, and for the record, I'm not wild about the stimulus, either. But I'm waiting more than a focking month before shouting "Socialism! Nationalized Health Care! USA in Ruins!" like you. What about the topic at hand is there to address? That fact checking his speech found inaccuracies and half-truths? Whoop-de-focking do! He's a politician. But you spout all this baloney like it's fact, and it's not. It's just what you're afraid of.

And jesus h christ, is it too much to ask to give a guy who inherited the worst economy in 80 years more than a month to deliver on his campaign promises? And just because I know this is what you'll bring up, I don't feel that appointment missteps equates to broken campaign promises since every president has them.

You're not an economist, and you're wrong. People who do this for a living, as opposed to posting on message boards, are in near unanimous agreement that the stimulus was too little, and in some areas misdirected.

Near unanimous? :music_guitarred:

Oh, but what about "hope and change." I thought he was supposed to be different? See, this is the apologetic tone you get from the kool aid drinkers. They go "WHAT. WHY ARE YOU PICKING ON HIM FOR LIEING. HE'S A FREAKING POLITICIAN!!!!". Well, if he hadn't campaigned on "hope and change" and how Washington needed to do things differently, and then done them EXACTLY the same, I wouldn't be picking on him.

As far as giving him time to deliver on his campaign promises, I'm talking about the specific ones he has already BROKE. Like when he said he'd pay for any new spending with cuts/revenue increases so the net is zero. What, he gets a mulligan on the first couple trillion he blows before he has to start finding the money to pay for it? I don't think so. He promised to pay for ANY new spending. Obviously, he's not living up to that promise.

STFU moron. There are also economists who claim it will cause more harm than good.

You were preaching to everyone last week about people didn't know what was really in the bill, but neither did you.

What is weary is watching cliff clavins like yourself act like you know something when you don't know sh1t.

Holy crap, bro. What happened to you? Every post is a personal attack. You need to calm down some, son. :wall: It's just a messageboard. Disagreeing with you doesn't make someone a mortal enemy. You take this stuff way too seriously.

For those scoring at home:

Aoli is a rich sauce of crushed garlic, egg yolks, lemon juice, and olive oil. I've been informed that only Rachel Ray veiwers know this kind of information.

I italicized the bullshiot. You'd be picking on him anyways.

The difference between you and me is that I can tell the difference between campaign slogans and the real world, and I don't expect that the country will change IN A FOCKING MONTH.

And yeah, I'll give him a mulligan right now as he's facing the worst economic crisis in 80 years, and frankly, he's got better ideas than "cut taxes and stand back!"

It sounds like paul's has at least one more ingredient.

why are you worried about me all of a sudden? Would you rather me go thread to thread and ###### like you have been doing? by the way, my last two posts.

It would sure beat going from post to post and namecalling and insulting everyone who disagrees with you.

I'm concerned because I care. You seem overly aggressive lately. Something bothering you? You were always argumentative, but I don't remember you being so confrontational and insulting.

Do what you want, but there are more intelligent ways to get your point across than calling everone a moron and telling them to STFU.

LMAO. You accuse Strike of making stuff up, and then you go ahead and follow with with your own set of 'facts'. Right out of the liberal playbook right there. The current economic downturn is not even as severe as the one that took place in the late 70's and early 80's. Obama and his administration have been trying to scare people into thinking this is Great Depression #2 so they can throw some more crap down our throats. Don't believe me?

Look at the numbers:

Unemployment today: 7.6%

Unemployment peaked at 9.7% in 1982 and was still 9.6% in 1983.

Unemployment at the peak of the Great Depression: around 25%

Inflation today: about 4% last year

Inflation 1979-1982: averaged 10.3%

During the Great Depression, deflation was the main worry.

Now, I'm sure you're going to say something about the availability of credit. But the truth of the matter is, if you have a job and have a history of paying your bills, you're not going to have a problem getting credit.

this should have been the first idea, with all others built around it, including stopping nancy and the boys from spending a trillion dollars a week for stupid shiit projects.

you've got better ideas than obama has. if his lips are moving, he's lying.
