Vikings4ever 496 Posted August 12, 2009 http://sports.excite.com/news/08112009/v1311.html Former NFL running back Lawrence Phillips has been convicted of assault and other felony charges in San Diego.A Superior Court jury found Phillips guilty Tuesday of seven counts. Phillips had been accused of choking his girlfriend on two occasions in August 2005, once into unconsciousness. He faces up to 25 years in prison when he's sentenced next month. Phillips already is serving a 10-year sentence for hitting three teenagers with his car in Los Angeles. Phillips was once one of the nation's top college football players at Nebraska. The St. Louis Rams released him for insubordination in 1997. He went on to play for the Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers, and spent time in NFL Europe and the Canadian Football League. EDIT: Phillips, not Taylor.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted August 12, 2009 Infectious human waste. I still find it insane the Rams drafted this pile when they had Bettis (in his prime but coming off a sub-par year) on the roster. No way a guy with that baggage even goes in the 1st round nowadays.
kutulu 1,552 Posted August 12, 2009 Is it safe to drop him from my dynasty league?

comxkid 0 Posted August 12, 2009 Remember the glory years of Lawrence Phillips at Nebraska? Seems like a lifetime ago. He will now be released from prison 2044 Travis Henry might catch him though Phillips was a dirtbag is college. Suspended his junior year for beating up a girlfriend and allowed to rejoin the team right before the National Championship Game. Osbourne's logic; it was best for everyone to bring him back. That worked out well.
juziuu 1 Posted August 13, 2009 Maybe next year a Fantasy Prison league can be started. Hell, there will surely be enough NFL players in the prison system to do it with.
dreadlocks34 0 Posted August 14, 2009 I think Phillips is simply just an asshat while Henry is perhaps the dumbest human being ever to step on an NFL field and that takes some doing. Honestly, couldn't one single person just point out a CVS to the guy?
kilroy69 1,002 Posted August 14, 2009 . No way a guy with that baggage even goes in the 1st round nowadays. Unless the Bengals had a first round pick right? That guy would fit like a glove there. He is such a moron. His problem is that he has never had the living ###### stomped out of him by a brother, father or friend of any of his girlfriends. If that had happened maybe sometime along the way he would have got the message about beating up your gf.
R8RMick 242 Posted August 14, 2009 Phillips was a dirtbag is college. Suspended his junior year for beating up a girlfriend and allowed to rejoin the team right before the National Championship Game. Osbourne's logic; it was best for everyone to bring him back. That worked out well. He actually had a pretty good game, which led to his second chance with the NFL. What a Steve Howe...
