It's an amazing time to be part of the Patriot nation.

Recommended Posts

there are alot of injuries in Patriot land right now none much bigger than these 2.

Defensive tackles Vince Wilfork and Ty Warren did not participate in practice Friday for the third straight day, and both are being listed as questionable.
-Espn/boston

those are two keys to the Pats run defense :music_guitarred: There defense already is bad and these two missing more time not good.

The only good news: Perhaps the Patriots can sneak up on teams like they did in 2002...assuming we make the playoffs. (Knock on wood.)

The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? I was born a poor black child. My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.

this thread is for pats fans, not bitter seahags.

They did get enough for the 1st down but had no challenges left because they wasted 2 Timeouts earlier  It was a bad spot but like you said that was long time ago and the Colts have continued to win since and the Pats have been very shaky

the pats made that first down. the colts are a 1 loss team now. they only won due to ref interference.

It's a make or break game. Even if we win it says nothing about our long term chances. In fact this game is lose, lose for us.

I can actually picture an upset tomorrow and it has me sick to my stomach. Of course being that the Bills rot I could see the Pats blowing them out which would give us a false sense of confidence again.

Sigh..tough season.

this game is in the bag. dont worry. pats win big.....43 - 13

Pats really, really, really need a game off. Next week, they must clinch so they can take the last game off.

Pats win.....Jets lose.

great day to be a pats fan.

9-5 suckas. :dunno:

Cionmci just lost to the Chargers, dropped to 9-5 allowing the Pats to move up to number 3.

I dont like it because if it stays that way, they will host Baltimore instead of Denver, and Denver's defense sucks.

Also, if they win, they will then play at San Diego instead of at Indianapolis and I prefer them at the Colts, not the CHargers.

But,whatever it is, to be in the post season is all good.

The way McDaniels acted after he was handed the win in Denver really [censored] ed a lot of people off including many of the players, and maybe even Belichick, and at home, they dont worry me.

Baltimore, on the other hand has a tough defense and if Flaco gets hot he can kill ya.

No, I would much rather play Denver at home than Baltimore at home.

As a long time Patriots fan I am used to low expectations. 2004 was different. That year the Patriots were a lot of people's favourites even though it's tough to go back to back. Even then there were enough doubters that New England had amble motivation to prove people wrong. 2001 was all about showing the world and making people eat crow. In Pittsburgh we told them to hold those reservations, in the Super Bowl it was a huge spread against the "Greatest Show on Turf".

I was not feeling good about all these pundits picking the Pats to win the Super Bowl this year. I don't like that spot. I don't want any arrogance or over-convidence. Even after the Patriots lost to the Colts, someone on NFL network said I'm sticking with the Patriots to win the Super Bowl. When the Pats were embarrassed in New Orleans they certainly dropped off the radar and then when they blew a lead in Miami, people said this team is in trouble. I now say good. Let everyone to write them off. I don't want to hear about the Pats run until February and they somehow made it back to the dance without anyone noticing.

Now everyone is talking about the Chargers. Is Norv Turner really going to get that team to Miami? The Colts made it to the Super Bowl once in the last 25 years thanks to the Pats blowing it but even if they're 16-0, who would be surprised if they lose their first home game in the playoffs. I can see a team not missing an easy field goal, or not fumbling at the one, or not throwing a late 4th quarter interception and actually finishing a game against Indy as apposed to blowing it like half of the Colts wins this season.

Here is a plausible scenario in the AFC as far as I'm concerned.

Patriots win the next game and hold the third seed.

The Broncos lose in Cincinnati and the Ravens lose another close one at the Razor.

Cincinnati gives Benson the ball 40 times in Indy and wins by one point.

Belichick out-coaches Turner, the Chargers turn-overs once again get the Pats to the AFC Championship game.

The Patriots stuff Benson and the Bengals lose by a touchdown in New England.

New England is once again in the Super Bowl and there is no doubt that they're the team of the decade.

So you will show up and gloat if the Pats don't win that first game. What will you do if they do win? Should we have a bet?

any bet you want........I will take any bet you offer as long as it involves the pats owning the colts.

Ok, if the Pats and Colts meet in the playoffs, the person's team that wins, gets to pick the other person's sig for a week, deal?

Guess I missed out on something.

Since the Colts have a bye and you think that the Pats lose the first game, how about a one week sig bet based on that first round game? I have the Pats and you have whoever they play.

Yep, that works for me. I say they lose their first game. Dallas Empire, Psycho wanted a different bet if the Colts/Pats meet.

So I get whoever Pats play, against you having the Pats. Team that wins, gets to pick the other person's sig for a week.
