Survivor: Heroes vs. Villians Cast Announced By CBS

Recommended Posts

He was the best survivor player of all time

don't get me wrong, I think Russell was terrific.

but his game plan is predicated on destroying his own team; he creates turmoil, his team falls apart, and he easily controls them.

entertaining and good for the short term? yes.

a strategy that will help you win it all? notsomuch.

let's see if this guy can actually win before labeling him the best ever.

Last season of Survivor, Russell made it to the final vote. I am saying that season he was the best I had ever seen. You can't really control the final vote and the way he got there, he obviously burned people. Anyone that makes the final had to burn people.

He was not given enough credit as being the best at outwitting, outlasting and outplaying everyone.

True he did not win, I am saying imho he was the best ever.

I can't stand him now. 2 seasons in a row was a terrible idea for Survivor to have Russell.

I used to love Rupert and now I hate him too.

3 seasons is way too much to have someone on survivor.

It's a hard show to watch now. I fast forward to the challenges, then to the vote. Seriously, I watch Survivor in about 15 minutes. JT is the guy I'd like to see win but he is a complete tool for the move he made giving Russell the idol.

I only watch the challenges and the camp drama and Probst counting the votes.. I don't watch Probst antagonize them into barking at each other at tribal council, I skip it.

Dunno man. I can think of two that should at least be in the discussion:

1) Boston Rob. I didn't like him the first season he was on. But the all star season where he met his wife he was ridiculously good. He didn't win but he got a million dollars AND the girl.

2) The Asian dude from about 5 seasons ago. Yul He won it. He had the II and just by using it as a threat he cruised to the finals. Totally dominated the season and was the least deceitful of any Survivor I can remember who won.

I have always loved Boston Rob, duh. He got 200,000 and he got the girl that won the million, not a bad catch there. Parlayed that into a marriage on television too and a couple reality shows.

Ethan from the Africa season completely dominated his season as far as the challenges, but he laid low during everything else, his name was never written down during any tribal council until the final vote, when he got all the votes.

See, here's the problem with Russell. He betrays EVERYONE to get to the end. That's great and all, and is good TV, but will it get him votes? It's kind of the anti-Sandra strategy. Her strategy is to just not make waves and hold on as long as you can. Other chicks have done that in the past as well. I remember one where there was a three person final and she didn't get one vote. You don't get votes for doing nothing. So, while Russell is entertaining and all, it's hard for me to consider him the best ever just because he makes a lot of moves and generally they've worked out. If he wins this season I'll definitely say he's top 2-3 but I don't even know if he'll make the finals. And I think the one mistake he's making is underestimating Parvati and believing she's completely loyal.

J.T. has probably forever tarnished his Survivor image, but he was pretty amazing his season; won the million with a unanimous jury vote, won the $100k fan favorite, never got a single vote at tribals, and dominated challenges.

Parvati won the fans vs favorites season as well with Amanda coming in 2nd.

The merge is going to be very interesting.

Can you really blame him though? She's pretty damn hot if you ask me.

I didn't watch last season, but I think Russell is absolutely killing it this year. That move he made to get that one idiot to vote for Parvati (who he then gave the idol to) and ended up getting himself voted out was nothing short of epic. Now he has that other idol from that one redneck moron. Never been a huge survivor follower but this is great TV!

Amanda + Parvati + Me = Good Times (for me at least... them not so much).

One of the stars on "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" was arrested in Louisiana early this morning after cops say he attacked somebody at a street festival.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Russell Hantz -- the runner-up from "Survivor: Samoa" -- was partying at the Festival International de Louisiane, when he allegedly "shoved" somebody to the pavement.

Cops say Hantz was immediately arrested by Lafayette City Police -- and taken to a nearby jail.

Hantz was eventually released.

But get this, Hantz is still in contention to win "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" -- which is airing now on CBS ... and yes, he's one of the "villains."

Rob's from my hometown, hoped he would have gone further, If Snadra flips next week, picks off Russel, Parvati or rubber titz that would be nice.

I thought JT gave Russell an idol last week?

Russell gave it to Parvati because he figured all the heroes were gunning for her. Sandra squealed Russell's plan to Rupert who convinced the heroes to go with Jeri. That way they'd lose a villian and could out Russell as being shady. Parvati gave Russell's idol to Sandra and her own idol to Jeri.

Nope. Works just fine. Wasn't paying attention and just hit 'add reply'.

My apologies for any inconvenience.
