Captain Goomy Noomy Roo 50 Posted January 21, 2010 I am a native of Michigan in the burbs north of Detroit. Grew up hating on Brett Favre since he has long made a habit of beating the kitties. Anyway, I cannot deny it... Favre is fun to watch.... and he is playing out of his mind this year. (for any age!) I know, it is not all Favre... Minn has quite a team on all sides both lines, receivers, TE, even kicking doing well. It is time for these Purple Guys. And oh by the way... Brett Favre goes out with another ring and as arguably the greatest QB of all time! GO Vikings! I will not miss the Vikes/Saints tilt. This will be fun to watch even when Favre gets a little wierd with all of his ass slapping and "Pants on the Ground" sheet. My prediction: Vikings: 34 Saints: 24 Count It! I went to that St. Louis playoff game a ways back and would not be surprised to see Favre mess up when he gets behind. Saints by 20. He is the best GB QB...love Starr...but Favre > Starr. Seriously though, I hate the Rings = Greatness argument. Favre's legacy will be pretty much the same whether he wins another SB or doesn't. He's had a great career and deserves mention as one of the greatest to ever play the position. Just like I think Marino is arguably the top QB of all time, and has 0 championships....but that has more to do with the Miami teams he was a part of than his level of play. Football is the ultimate team sport....except when it comes to QBs...who get way too much credit when their teams win, and too much criticism when they lose. But they don't exactly tell the whole truth either. The fact is Favre played in a super friendly passing era. Offenses have been given a lot of advantage over the years with some of the rule changes. This has really benefitted the passing game....and the numbers bear that out. 2009 was the most prolific year ever for QBs....and that has more to do with DBs being handcuffed than the level of QB play ascending. Regardless of when he played, Favre is an icon...an all-time great....but I'll never say he's the best. For me, Manning/Montana/Marino set the standard....not so much because of physical talent/stats, but because of their football IQs. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

And btw...Johnny U had to call his own plays (like Starr) and I have seen him throw a pass to Raymond Berry where Berry's toes were almost on the line...he was stretched out completely and about a foot off the ground...arms extended and ball right in the hands for about 12 yards. Yes, you are right, they had to throw. But not all the throws had to go to the Rams. Also, remember the Eagles and Giants. And there were plenty more where Favre make costly mistakes. Usually against good teams, but hey, that is who you have to beat. I was glad to have him and would not have it otherwise but I sure would have liked more than 1 superbowl. He really has made a lot of costly bonehead mistakes in his career. That said, he looks different to me this year. But we will see what happens when he gets behind. Well, I guess that makes it OK!!!!!! 6 INT = 6 INT = 6 INT Considering you blast Aaron Rodgers for putting up 45 points, 425 yards and 5 TDs against a "team that went to the super bowl".... that makes your Favre fellatio even more hilarious.... Rodgers "had to throw" too But I saw a stellar game; not 6 INT I think the poster also mentioned that Favre ended two very strong Super Bowl runs with two very scared interceptions to Dawkins and the NYG defensive back.... Ok...first off...how did they get down? Hmm...first 7 points scored was because of? An INT for a TD. 21 of the 45 points the Rams scored that day came off of INTs returned for TDs.
