The trade that brought our league down

Recommended Posts

Team A traded Ryan Matthews and Tony Gonzales to team B for Reggie Bush.

Team A just had just claimed Blount, got the news that Deangelo Williams was hurt(has Stewart), and already had Forte. Thus Matthews was his RB4. Team A had Todd Heap and Gonzales on a bye. Counted on Heap to be starter, thus needed to drop Gonzales.

Basically Team A wanted to turn his dumps into more value than what was on the waiver wire. Team A just got news Pierre Thomas was in a boot and hasn't been healing well, Ivory is banged up, and Bush will be returning soon.

Some owners are calling this "cheating".

I am the co-commish and Team B. The other co-commish has no problems with the trade, neither does our former commish.

It may be lopsided, but cheating? What do you think? Throw some wisdom out here.

PS-2 of the 3 teams that have a problem with this trade are trying to trade Louis Murphy for Miles Austin and Owen Daniels(the team getting the better end of that deal is in 1st place in division)

I personally would never accept that trade if I were the Mathews/Gonzo owner, but I see no issues with it. 2 Underperformers for 1 underperformer with slightly more upset, yet is an injury risk. Don't think that's collusion but that's JMO.

I just cancelled the rest of the season for my league. I don't want to play fantasy football in a world where a trade like that can take place.

The other teams have sand in their baginas because they didn't propose a trade to the guy.

Also the other trade is more whack; Murphy for Austin? I've got Murphy collecting dust on my bench, you mean I can get Austin for him?

I also would veto the Louis Murphy for Austin and Daniels trade. This smacks of poor sportsmanship and even collusion because they've got their t!ts in a wringer over the 1st trade. I would warn these two jerks that if you see any more of that sh1t, you will lock their teams down and they willl forfeit their entry fee.

And I would NOT invite these two players back into the league next year. You don't need these cry babies in your league.

To use an analogy, if you trade away $10 and get $10 back, you are cool if it happens, and cool if it doesn't. It's when you are giving away $5 and getting back $10 that you'll be pissed if the trade doesn't go through.

Oh my... more of his difficult math problems with the dreaded dollar sign... anyone remember the Pythagorean theorem????

Mobb is right. This one has to be vetoed.

It'd be one thing if it weren't Mathews and Gonzalez for Reggie Bush. But it is and it obviously needs to be vetoed.

When the trade is that screwy, there really isn't any need to see the rosters.

If we were trading $10 for $12, then the rosters matter. But not when someone is trading $3 for $25.

The biggest issue is that it's Mathews and Gonzo for Bush. Anything else may have been legit, but not that trade.

Just trying to get some objective opinions of people not owning a team in our league.

Your getting the better end of deal and you know it's a lousy trade but to justify it you post it to get support. :)

Good move for you.
