I Can't Believe I'm Benching Phillip Rivers Over.....

Matthew Stafford. My draft strategy was to use Stafford during the bye week or if Rivers got hurt. Right now he is outplaying Rivers fantasy wise and I'm 0-3 losing by 7 points or less each game. I thought this would be a monster season for Rivers but Gates' foot is not 100% and the running game is doing good for San Diego so why throw it. Anyone else making this move with Stafford starting over your original Tier1 QB?

I'm sitting Stafford for Brees; it was tempting to play matchups last week, but sticking with Brees was the right call.

I would start Stafford over Eli. I think Nicks has a huge game but I also think the Giants run the ###### out of the ball.

 

Detroit simply can't do that and Dallas' secondary is still awful.

 

Plus all things equal I'd always take a dome game over outside.

You are missing the point. No one is worried about Rivers but it's a problem when you have someone on your bench scoring higher than your Tier1 starter. So far Stafford, Cam, Fitzpatrick, Flacco, Henne, Kolb, Sanchez, Campbell, McCoy and even frickin Rex Grossman have more points than Rivers. Dude, that's a focking problem!

Did you watch the GB/Saints game opening night or any Saints games this year?? Brees is on another planet right now. The throws he makes to covered receivers is unbeleivable. No other QB in the league can throw a WR open (back shoulder throws) like Brees does. After the onslaught that GB was puttin on the Saints in the 1st half, could any other QB in the league came back like Brees did??? Brady and Manning only IMO. I haven't seen Rogers do it yet. He probably has, i just haven't seen it. Rivers can't compete with Brees IMO.
