shovelheadt 67 Posted November 29, 2011 Once Andy Reid is let go, that puts Belichick and Marvin Lewis at 1 and 2 I think.
roroco 75 Posted November 29, 2011 Man... There are going to be a lot of job openings for Norv Turner. Not saying he deserves another chance, just saying, owners are stupid for that man for no reason.
phillybear 365 Posted November 29, 2011 Joe Paterno is updating his resume, which oddly seems to indicate he hasn't worked anywhere in the past 46 years.
Honey Badger 0 Posted November 29, 2011 JDR should have been fired a long time ago. Any coach that puts his faith and team in the hands of Blaine Gabbert doesn't deserve a paycheck. I know he's a rookie, but Gabbert is NOT an NFL QB. The Jags would be a play-off team with even Garrard at the helm.

The Hood 9 Posted November 29, 2011 Team is being sold too. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Weaver advised team employees on Tuesday that the franchise is in the process of being sold. Peter King of SI.com reports that the team is being purchased by Shahid Khan, who tried unsuccessfully to purchase the Rams after the death of Georgia Frontiere. Minority owner Stan Kroenke exercised his right to match the offer that Khan had made for the 60-percent stake in the team held by the son and daughter of Mrs. Frontiere. Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that the team will remain in Jacksonville. Hopefully, his source for that one was someone other than Wayne Weaver.

I know he's a rookie, but Gabbert is NOT an NFL QB. The Jags would be a play-off team with even Garrard at the helm. And you really believe that, with a "playoffs or else" mandate from the front office, Del Rio decided to cut Garrad the week of the opener? The front office cut his contract, basically firing Del Rio that day. There was no way Gabbert was taking that team anywhere and he knew it. He was fired the day after replacing Gabbert with McCown in an effort to win a game. Good for him. He'll work again. Why stay around and become the scapegoat for a lousy situation you were forced into? The miserable failure of a front office in Jacksonville deserves whatever happens to them. JT 137 Posted November 29, 2011 All I have to say is IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!! This guy has been running the franchise into the ground for way too long. Yes. Five .500 or better seasons, two 10+ win seasons and 3 playoff appearances out of 8 seasons with the great David Garrad/Byron Leftwich at the helm is an abject failure. Blame a front office that refused to spend money, instead focusing their efforts on trying to sell a crap fanchise.
kutulu 1,564 Posted November 29, 2011 If they drafted Tebow they would be looking at a first round bye.

Kingstowne Dealers 14 Posted November 30, 2011 If they drafted Tebow they would be looking at a first round bye. I partially agree with this. Tebow would have sold out the stadium each and every week. Del Rio wouldn't have changed the offense to take advantage of Tebow's skills like Fox did.
