Recliner Pilot 61 Posted July 10, 2012 I know. Sometimes when I make fun of him because he's on this messageboard Friday ands Saturday nights, I actually feel a little bad. We all handle things differently. I guess for RP, arguing politics all weekend, when the rest of the world is going out and getting laid, is what gets him through all of this. I just wish he'd find a woman so he wasn't so into my abs and shoulders. It really gives me the creeps. And the only people really qualified to determine his guilt or innocence are the men and women of the jury who will see all the evidence and hear all the arguments. I get that--believe me, I do. But you see, this is the Geek Club, not a court of law. We all express opinions here without every piece of evidence in front of us. If we didn't, then there wouldn't be much point to this place. I don't have any special English skills that would set me apart from anybody else in this forarm. Winding up as an English teacher overseas was accidental and the truth is that I'm not any more qualified to do it than anybody else that posts in this forarm. I like to read. I wrote a lot of papers in college. When I speak, I use the same Detroit-area dialect that Mitt Romney uses which -fortunately for me- is pretty much the standard all-American sound common in US movies, TV, and radio. Just that, and being reliable and prepared and always on time and good at what I do is what gets me a Middle Class life in which I can support a family comfortably on one income.
