Broncos offense looks Great

Recommended Posts

Damn, I need to make sure I grab him in one league. Maybe today.

I kind of want to go totally cheap on WRs in one league and start something like: Maclin, Decker, T. Smith

How does Peyton look?

What's the deal with this Lance Ball character who keeps getting big catches?

10-12 122 yards 2 TD's looked crisp and threw the ball all over the field (including his right).

Lance Ball is the #2 RB at Denver and will catch a lot of passes out of the backfield.

Thanks.

How does A. Smith and SF offense looks? Seems like Davis and Tree are being targeted.

They look good too. Smith had a fumbled exchange with the Center but did throw a strike TD to Davis ~50 yards. Broken coverage by Denver.

I had Decker as my breakout star, now his ADP will rise.

I want to target him, but me living in Denver does not do any good as he will be a 'homer' pick probably way too early.

Is Tamme playing? Is he a good TE candidate or are we overrating him?

He will be in the mix but he will be competing for balls w/ a lot of players including Joel Dreesen who is another pass catching TE who will play a lot.

Players to target on Denver's Offense in order of value:

Manning

McGahee

Decker

Thomas

Tamme

Crap...

I was concerned about Peyton holding up, the tough schedule and all the outside games.

Should I really re-think that based upon 1 good pre-season half?

I took Decker in the 7th round in my 12 team draft and Prater with my second to last pick.

Feelin good right now. :pointstosky:

Yes, IMO. Manning had the #1 defense completely on their heels for 1 quarter of football. He is a different kind of QB who can change plays on the fly and there does not seem to be much rust left. I wouldn't think he can be putting up Brady-like numbers, but if you are happy with 3500-4000 yards and 30 TD's, he is more than capable of that.

Decker already with 2 tds

With Peyton's diminished arm strength, it may be Decker which would benefit more than Demariyus Thomas . A lot of possession, short throws instead of deep bombs .

Possibly, but McGahee is the #1 guy hands down at RB and he will catch balls out of the backfield. Could be a very good value pick this year.

how do you know he will catch balls out of the backfield? we could see ball and or hillman get a lot of those, especially on 3rd downs.

they brought peyton in to pass the ball, so while mcgahee will be a serviceable RB3 in fantasy, im not expecting a ton.

Yeah, maybe a RB2. Now that I think of it, Decker could probably be #2 on Denver's fantasy team, but I would put McGahee over Thomas still.

The entire SF offense has 5 receptions at this point. That is good?

The question was asked about halfway through the first quarter. Alex Smith was making decent reads and hit on that TD to Davis. That was all the offense that was out there. I can't speak for Colin Kapernick!

I was already targeting Decker, now just hoping the rest of my league didn't see this before my draft in half an hour.

Actually currently Moreno/Hillman are battling for the number 2 spot. Ball will likely make it as the #4 back/special teams player. Ball is competing against Johnson as the last back to make the team.

Last I checked Ball was listed as RB#2 on the depth chart. There is something about him that the coaches like. He did get hurt today, however. Ultimately, you are probably correct as Hillman or Moreno will be battling for the #2 spot behind Willis, but not at the present time...

Exciting times for Broncos fans, from the Tebow 3 and out show to this.

Cool story bro.

Here is the Broncos depth chart from their team's website.

As you can see they have Lance Ball listed as their 2nd string, but I would venture to guess that Hillman will take that spot over eventually.
