DAVID RUFFIN 1 Posted August 31, 2012 I apologize if this has been discussed, Why didn't Bush attend his own parties convention? I watched most of the convention and I never heard his name even mentioned.
The Elevator Killer 497 Posted August 31, 2012 I apologize if this has been discussed, Why didn't Bush attend his own parties convention? I watched most of the convention and I never heard his name even mentioned. Because it would have taken away from the focus being on Jeb.

MDC 5,963 Posted August 31, 2012 I apologize if this has been discussed, Why didn't Bush attend his own parties convention? I watched most of the convention and I never heard his name even mentioned. The GOP wisely decided not to remind the public of the Bush years. I was surprised they had Condi Rice up there.

I was also surprised being she was National Security Advisor on 911. Oh wait, that was Clinton's fault.

MDC 5,963 Posted August 31, 2012 What time slot did they give Jimmy Carter next week at Jimmy Carter Jr"s convention? Bush was Jimmy Carter Jr. Obummer is now Jimmy Carter III. Get it straight. hth

MDC 5,963 Posted August 31, 2012 Why would the GOP steal Obama's campaign strategery? It's not working too well for him. Obummer's record is terrible and he's still going to win re-election. I'd say his campaign strategery is working out pretty well.

I'd say his campaign strategery is working out pretty well. :TRUE: also GWB wasn't there b/c he's the pinata for both parties now. Jeb did a commedable job of at least asking everyone to stop blaming his brother... but the problem is that his brother does deserve a lot a blame, just maybe not all the piling on the both sides now resort to as an excuse for why they haven't gotten the job done either. Recliner Pilot 61 Posted September 1, 2012 Add former president George W. Bush to the list of no-shows at the Republican National Convention in Tampa. (The Democrats have their own issues on the convention-skipping front). Bush, who has mostly kept out of sight since leaving office in January 2009, was "grateful" for an invitation to the gathering that will formally nominate Mitt Romney. "But in keeping with his desire to stay off the political stage at this point in the post-presidency, he respectfully declined the invitation," spokesman Freddy Ford said in a statement. "He supports Governor Romney and wants him to succeed. President Bush is confident that Mitt Romney will be a great President," Ford said. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/george-w-bush-skipping-republican-convention-211720949.html
