Recommended Posts

And who are you sitting? People are playing them up big time due to horrible AZ..not sure if this is a good move week 1 of playoffs

CHI DST, you've been great all year, but :bench:

Going with Det over both NE and Den, solely based on the offenses those teams face compared to Detroit.

i think i picked up detroit against minnesota the second time they played after Ponder threw for like 70 yards the game before.

Ponder looked alright against Detroit that week if i remember right.

Yes I sat the 30 pnt bengals just to chase the terrible offense of AZ. Everyone started detroit this week and if they don't get me at least 17-20 it will be the most epic fail of the year and we will all deserve it for starting the awful lions.

I had 49er's & Bengals defense rostered & Lions were available on the wire. Ended up going with the Bengals since I'm a Cincy homer & glad I did. The 15 points to start the week were great. The Lions seemed like a overhyped play this week, so I steered clear. For everyone else's sake, I hope they live up to the billing.

Another league I have both the Packers & Patriots rostered. Detroit is on the wire. I played the Packers earlier in the season vs. the Bears & they scored me 19 points. With Clay back in the lineup, I like the Packers but they still tend to give up a lot of points.

Why is everyone staying away from New England's defense this week? They're at home & it's not as if the 49er's are an offensive juggernaut. Anyone's thoughts?

49ers fan here. What do you realistically expect the Pats defense to put up this week? Do you expect a fair amount of sacks and turnovers? I could see 3 sacks, 1 INT and maybe a fumble recovery from the Pats D tomorrow night. Solid numbers though not the greatest matchup in my view.

I picked up the Detroit defense a couple of weeks ago just to play this week. I think you can't go wrong with a defense going up against Arizona, Jacksonville or Kansas City. I picked up the Indy D for next week hoping I will need them for the championship game.

I have Detroit penciled in over Bears. Earlier this year I think week 2, I put Detroit in against Tennesee (thinking at the time what a great matchup). Tennesee puts up over 30 and I lose my game by one point. So I have my nails bitten down to the first knuckle  and of course my opponent played Bungholes defense :ninja:

That's a fair prediction but New England's defense held the Texans offense to 14 points. I'm sorry but the 49er's offense isn't nearly as dynamic as the Texans.

What kind of points do you see Kaepernick & Co. putting up in Foxborough?

I could see about 20 points max. Kaepernick's numbers: 225 yards passing 1 TD and 1 INT with about 50 yards rushing, something along those lines. If the 49ers keep the Pats under 24, they have a good shot of beating them. If not, Pats win and it could be big.

when you pick up a defense weeks ahead of time for a specific play, you don't expect them to get negative points
