Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted January 8, 2013 wonder why they didn't just make plans to go straight from DC to Atlanta. By game time, they already knew they'd get the Falcons if they won. Maybe if all their video facilities and whatnot are back west, but that would have saved a ton of travel time. Where would they practice?
Lackman 0 Posted January 8, 2013 Where would they practice? They could use Washington's field, after the oxen give it another plowing or two.

FlaHawker 24 Posted January 9, 2013 There is no pressure on Seattle. We are playing with house money. Year three of an entire roster overhaul and we are now considered not only the bad boys of the NFL, but also the most dangerous team in the league, a team no one wants to play, especially ATL. If the Hawks jump out early, the "here we go again" feeling with permeate that Falcon sideline. Running games and defense travel well. The Hawks will throw haymakers; we'll see what kind of chin the Falcons have. My guess is they will fall like Glass Joe.

Joey Gladstone 33 Posted January 9, 2013 Why would there be any pressure on Seattle? this is year three of a rebuilding effort and complete roster overhaul where we just happened to win 11 regular season games and a playoff game. The Seahawk's are what? The second or third youngest team in the league. With rookies, 2nd and 3rd year guys starting all over the place. Fans can enjoy this ride knowing we'll be back here next year. The Falcons are the veteran team with the #1 overall pick golden boy QB who has flamed out of the playoffs in Romolike fashion 5 years into his career. They have the HOF tight end who's at the very end and trying to get a ring. They're the ones who more then a year ago spent two first round picks on a freakishly prototypical WR (good move) to help get over the hump. Roddy White is a Ferrari, but one with some miles on it. The Falcons HAVE to win now or heads are gonna roll. They have to do something this year despite having a very 1-dimensional offense with a suspect line. ALL the pressure is on the Atlanta Falcons. To say otherwise is absurd.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted January 9, 2013 And don't misinterpret my post. Just because all the pressure is Atlanta, doesn't make them any less dangerous, especially at home. It's all in how they deal with the pressure. If they embrace it and feed off it...then look out. And while the offense is very one-dimensional....that one dimension is pretty impressive. The type of passing game that can just flat out outscore a young, physical team like Seattle if they come into town flat.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted January 9, 2013 We? Lots a we going on around here What position do you play or are you in the front office. Calm down Murf, A fan saying "We" is perfectly fine, its a universally accepted use of vernacular. All the pressure is on ATL to finaly win a playoff game and vs the hawks no less who are indeed playing with house money. No one expected the hawks to get here and if they lose its lot like they will call it a failure. Heck, even if they missed the playoffs by a game it would have been considered a winning season. I hope they lose badly tho, im still bitter about the refs costing my packers a home game this week.
devouredbychaos 0 Posted January 9, 2013 ALL the pressure is on the Atlanta Falcons. To say otherwise is absurd. How oblivious are you?? The Seahawks are the hot team, the dark horse, the team EVERYONE is talking about and saying they are SB bound. The media and all the homers on this forum and countless others have all pretty much said that this game is in the bag. I've seen and heard nothing about them even having a chance to lose. Yes, Atlanta has choked in the past, and obviously they have something to prove..but the pressure isn't on them at all. The number 1 seed with one of the best records in football..yet everyone has them as the underdog and pretty much written them off. How can you even sit here and say all the pressure isn't on Seattle? You're obviously quite blinded by your homerism. To say all the pressure is on the Falcons is comical. Open up your eyes. To say otherwise is absurd. How do you know you will be back next year? Giants probably thought that too after winning the superbowl. I don't think I have ever heard a more arrogant statement. Injuries, coaching changes, a decent offense in STL and Arizona, a more difficult schedule could make a difference. One less win due to a blown call, etc. SF will still be favored to win division so you will be fighting with the likes of Saints, Bears, and Giants for a wildcard so making it to the playoffs, yet to the divisional playoffs is no given. But hey your mobile undersized QB could never get injured right? And Lynch is so young and fresh he could never get hurt. Boy you Seattle fans are starting to sound like Patriot fans except without any history of success on your side BTW this framework of underdog playing with house money is garbage. There isn't a football fan out there that isn't high on Seattle and most are already doubting Atlanta. House money my but or didn't you watch them destroy SF? Quit trying to play the underdog card, you aren't in most fans eyes, not at all. Most superbowl winners over the last few years came through the wildcard round. This is silly talk boys, pressure is on everyone in playoffs don't kid yourselves You all are just setting it up so you can pretend a loss won't depress you
Arsenal 3 Posted January 9, 2013 a team no one wants to play False, I hope they win so the Packers can beat them next week. Aside from obvious revenge reasons, it would be an easier game for the Packers because Atlanta is better and they would also get to play at home. Edit: Also, Atlanta is favored in this game as well, so no, most people do not think Seattle will win. If Seattle fans are so confident, they should be betting the farm! Serpent 51 Posted January 9, 2013 All the pressure is on Seattle. Everybody says they're a great team and the Falcons are going to lose to them. There is zero pressure on Ryan and the Falcons, yet they're at home being counted out. Absolute blowout in the works. 41-7 most of the game, a few late cheap scores will make it look close, maybe 41-24 or something. Atlanta is absolutely going to run away with this. You can't get lucky and have the starting QB go down in every game you play The Hawks didn't need Rodgers, Brady, Kaepernick, Romo, Cutler, or any other QB they faced to go down in order to win. It's not the Hawks fault the Foreskins played a one legged QB.
