uwilose123 2 Posted August 20, 2013 Do you do it and go for Calvin Johnson?
rholio 339 Posted August 20, 2013 Both are good spots in the draft, but yes, I go for it.
vash1012 19 Posted August 20, 2013 Yes, unless its PPR, I wouldn't go for Johnson necessarily, but you could still get a better RB than at the 8th
Apollo Creed 9 Posted August 20, 2013 You can get Megatron at 8 if you really want him...
DrG 102 Posted August 20, 2013 I assume you're moving up in the second ....
Boilermaker04 11 Posted August 20, 2013 You're getting the 5th overall pick for the 8th overall pick and that's the entire trade? I mean, yes is the answer, but I don't get it.
chroniciguana 13 Posted August 20, 2013 Is this a 10, 12, or a 138-team league? Kinda matters. What advantage is the other guy seeing at 1.08 that, presuming you aren't giving up a pick as part of the deal, would prompt him to consider dropping three spots in the first round? Remember, moving down in the first means moving up in the second. Yeah, there's something he figures (or knows) he can get at 1.08. But if this is a 12-teamer, I'm guessing his real interest is 2.05. Before pulling the trigger on what would otherwise be a no-brainer (if this is a straight up swap), probably best to puzzle this one out in the context of your league and its draft history. My guess is that he's eyeballin' a QB-WR thing. If so, let him. He could also be watching Trent Richardson's ADP fall and figures T-Rich plus a second round upgrade is the way to go. Maybe he's right.
RaiderHaters Revenge 4,243 Posted August 20, 2013 Id rather pick 8th there are exactly 8 PPR guys I like as my rb1/wr1, and it gives me a better shot at AJ Green, Dez or Marshall, or Graham in the 2nd AP, Martin, Spiller, Charles, Foster, Calvin, Mccoy, Rice....at 17 you have one of the 9 falling to you, AJ, Dez, Marshall, Graham, Lynch, Morris, Forte, Julio, Richardson
Maroon Bells 18 Posted August 20, 2013 I'm going to assume this trade only impacts the first two rounds where you move down in the first and up in the 2nd. If that's the case, I'd do it, but it depends on who you're targeting in each spot. When I drafted in snakes I always preferred to be toward the end of the first round.
