Keeper Help

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I have my choice of the following four backs. Please tell me who you'd keep and why.

Chris Johnson - TEN

McFadden - OAK

A Brown - NYG

Chris Ivory - NYJ

No one else on the team worthy of being kept. 1 pt PPR, 1 qb/2 rb/3 wr/1 te/1 flex.

I can keep two. Decision due tomorrow.

Post a link and I'll help in return.

Thanks

I would keep CJ - that offensive line is improved dramatically and I think he will be the main choice since I can't see Locker lighting it up this year.

I'm leaning that way too - but who else should I keep?

Do you have to keep 2? I would only keep Johnson. McFadden can't stay healthy. Brown is looking at a RBBC with Wilson. Ivory is playing for one of the worst offenses in the league and has injury concerns too.

I'd keep CJ?K for sure. And if I had to pick another, I'd gamble on Ivory or McFadden. Brown is locked into a RBBC with Wilson and it's hard to know how he'll be used. I'd gamble on Ivory or McFadden cause they are the legit #1 RB on their teams. Both are injury risks, and both play behind bad O'lines, but I think Oak's is slightly worse. And Oak's QB is arguably the worst in the league. They will have a hard time moving the ball. If you watched the one preseason game where Ivory ran, he looked pretty fierce and tough. His sample size was very small. I like the idea of Geno Smith coming in at QB for the Jets, which should help Ivory. Versatile QB's always help the run game. The one upside to McFadden is that if he gets off to a hot start, he'll be very easy to trade cause of his name.

I would keep CJ and McFadden. McFadden is in a contract year and has a new offensive coordinator who likes to run the ball. If he stays healthy he will have a good year.

If you have to keep 2, I'd go with the obvious, and then McFadden...then say prayers, or whatever your into, that he doesn't get hurt. He's the clear cut starter and has a really high ceiling...Whether he ever hits that ceiling remains to be seen, but I'd rather have a guy that has the potential to win it all for me than someone who's ceiling is less than 1k yards and probably 6tds (ivory & brown).

My $.02

you cant rely on McFadden, he's always hurt, or playing hurt, then teases you with a 2td, 180 yard day.. just to bruise an eyelid and be out 3 weeks

If you must keep two, I'd keep CJ and Ivory. McFadden cannot stay unhurt. Plus, I'm guessing you paid a premium for him last year, and if you have to give up a draft spot, I would not give it up for him. Ivory is a good back when he is healthy and will be the only real back ion the Jets offense. Of course, it is the Jets, but I think he's in a better position than Dmac and Brown.

Here's mine, thanks - http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=421336

If you must keep two then you have to keep Chris Johnson because with his improved line he will return to form and should see some good numbers. The other one would be McFadden. He has the highest upside out of the remaining 3. Its his contract year and he purposely held out from signing a new contract so he could get more money at the end of the season. I think he has too much potential to let go right now.

Thanks for mine!
