unclemercy 53 Posted October 18, 2013 Dude why do u keep coming up with this leg shattered stuff? dont listen to snatchit. hes full of anti-wisdoms. shut it in advance son.
xxxdog 23 Posted October 19, 2013 Me Bad......Shattered was my injury {multiple bone fragments} but any repeated injury in a short time {Brown/1yr} partial break or whatever red flags a possible problem...I would be shocked if his speed and strength was at top form and you can add the word tenative.......and no I don't have a thing for Wilson...common sense would state if you draft a RB in round 1 # 2012 {Wilson} and he is cleared to play sometime in November you play him to see if he is the future back for the Giants {espec if they are out of the playoff hunt} or if he plays poorly then look towards drafting a RB 2014......My opinion only, Brown or Jacobs will not be on the Giants 2014 roster, still feel Wilson will be the key back late season unless he is ruled out........ TheFantasyFootballSow 5 Posted October 19, 2013 Brown's IR -> return gave him a much longer window than typical for recovering from this injury. I made a play for him in dynasty a little while back, and got Jacobs on the wire this week. (Dire scenario involving Sproles' bye week and DMurray's knee.) Brown is a short yardage machine, so when he's healthy I think it is his job for the taking. Most teams other than the bears will have a healthy Dline / lbs. The only downside I see here is that they may not want to pay Brown this offseason.... even though he's toted the rock well for them when healthy.
Old School 360 Posted October 19, 2013 I just don't see Wilson as an NFL caliber back. He can't block, and he can't hold onto the ball. I have trouble understanding how the Giants thought they could depend on him as their primary back this year.
unclemercy 53 Posted October 19, 2013 not to be harsh but after following david wilson very closely these past couple years (cloaked up in the shadows of course of course) im convinced hes retarded. in general retards dont get given a lot of responsibility. no offense (so to speak see also the nyg) im just saying. the spanker 28 Posted October 19, 2013 Jacobs didn't practice today. Is it an extra rest day for him since he's carrying the load or did he have a setback with his hammy? I may have to sit him for a safer option but he's got such He's got such a tasty match-up on Monday. Anyone out there (homers) got any insight?
TennisMenace 156 Posted October 19, 2013 I would be surprised not to see BJ, but the more important question is - can he last?
the spanker 28 Posted October 19, 2013 I would be surprised not to see BJ, but the more important question is - can he last? He's being smart with his hammy so I don't see a reason why he couldn't. There are a laundry list of players playing with sore hammies this week. http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2013/10/giants_brandon_jacobs_says_hes_just_being_cautious_with_hamstring.html
the spanker 28 Posted October 19, 2013 Yep extra day of rest for 3 Giant starters. http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2013/10/brandon_jacobs_jason_pierre-paul_are_questionable_vs_vikings_david_baas_and_corey_webster_are_probab.html
unclemercy 53 Posted October 19, 2013 i think sore hammy is code for ham sandwiches. big mouth hungry.
xxxdog 23 Posted October 20, 2013 If Jacobs has any problem with his hamstring {tighten-up or unable to go} Coughlin stated Hillis capable of playing most downs similar to some of TB rushing offense......Biggest fear with Cox is protecting Manning, ...again..only if Jacobs is not playing, my hunch Hillis would handle 1st & 2nd downs and some passing situations since he is a very solid receiver, Cox change of pace back some 3rd down action...only my opinion....remember they signed Hillis over Ware, and Ware was established with the playbook and system...It happened asap with Browns and McGahee, signed and played the same week and as unsettled the RB's have been in NY don't think its not possible again...... unclemercy 53 Posted October 20, 2013 oh yeah for sure bro. hillis is an immediate add drop for ham string sandwich. the rest of us already picked him up. start with confidence.

madd futher mucker 36 Posted October 20, 2013 You must play with guppies if you're willing to wait until after this weeks games and think he'll still be available, I see the spanker was showing some Jacobs love. I guess now he will be grabbing cox instead.

lickin_starfish 1,893 Posted October 20, 2013 I'd pick Brown up, but I am eating a roster space due to the Vick/Foles situation. I fear Brown will be scooped up before Vick gets healthy.
