Captain Goomy Noomy Roo 53 Posted November 12, 2013 Looks like he can hold his own... I am thinking of playing him Week 11 over Luck... Wadda y'all think? Who would you sit for McCown this week?
Mack 1 6 Posted November 12, 2013 I'm leaning toward starting him in place of Brady, who's playing against the league's toughest defense against QBs (Carolina). Chicago has a couple of beasts at WR, so his margin for error when throwing the ball is expanded a bit. There's actually a good chance of him outperforming Brady this week. snatchit 108 Posted November 12, 2013 Would you use him over Glennon against a super weak falcons D ?
Belushi 9 Posted November 12, 2013 I've got Matt Ryan and Alex Smith this week. I'm wondering if McCown would be an upgrade over either one of them.
Ramrock 21 Posted November 12, 2013 starting him over Rivers next week
lickin_starfish 2,027 Posted November 12, 2013 Would you guys pick up McCown or Keenum if you had to choose? My only QB at the moment is Krapernick.
Yamirfaz 3 Posted November 13, 2013 I'm hoping to get him off waivers tonight to fill in for Foles next week. Never thought my fantasy season would depend on Foles and the Bears backup QB when I drafted Rodgers.
cyclone24 1,940 Posted November 13, 2013 FWIW....I'm a bears homer, Romo owner so I have to pick someone up......and it's still not going to be Mccown. Leaning toward Glennon....but starting to like Tannehills matchup with SD.

Connorsdad 38 Posted November 13, 2013 Both Keenum and McCown have nice matchups in the always important weeks leading up to the playoffs. Keenum seems like the QB that will definetely be the starter the rest of the way. Texans matchups Wk 11 Raiders at Houston Wk 12 Jags at Houston Wk 13 Pats at Houston Wk 14 Jags at Jacksonville (most leagues 1st playoff week) Bears matchups Wk 11 Ravens at Chicago Wk 12 Rams at St. Louis Wk 13 Vikings at Minny Wk 14 Cowboys at Chicago Good Luck dude ! ffexpert 4 Posted November 13, 2013 why wont he have a good game? The receivers are studs, Forte is great out of the backfield, Mccown's stats have been good when he has played and Balt is middle of the pack on D. Am i missing something? Full disclosure i have not watched much of the games where he was playing.
Upper Class Trash 67 Posted November 13, 2013 He has only had one good game. I drafted Cutler and picked this fellow up when Cutler went down. His past history is exceptionally bad. As a starter, he was horrible with the Cardinals a decade ago. When he started about half the games for Oakland in 2007, he was horrible again. In 2011 he started a couple games for the Bears and had 2 TD's with 4 Interceptions. This year he has looked decent. Is it Trestman (a QB Guru) making the difference, or the fact he's only played some really horrible competition? Let's face it, Green Bay's Secondary is in shambles and sucks. They didn't have a couple of their starters on defense in that game either. He now gets the Ravens. A blitz happy team in desperate need of a win to stay in the hunt. I'm moving him for.... Gulp... Ryan Fitzpatrick against the Colts. That's how much faith I have in Josh against a real defense.
Connorsdad 38 Posted November 13, 2013 It's hard to argue with anything Upper Class Trash said. Good post ! Maybe it is more Trestman then anything else. Whatever it is he does look decent. I do think he is fortunate to have the weapons he has around him. The Ravens/Bears game is a big game for both teams. I would expect 225 yards passing 2 tds for McCown. Probably 1 to Marshall and 1 to Jeffery. Those two are getting mad targets ! IMO Keenum over McCown McCown over Fitzpatrick (I hate Thursday games) Good luck fellas !
