Lacy or McCoy ROS?!

Recommended Posts

At this point who's going to do better??

And if you are the owner of either, would you trade for the other?

Neither, your record is probably so bad if you own either or it doesn't matter.

3-1 going into this week in both leagues I own Lacy.

So...nice try, but you are incorrect.

Lacy owner in my other leagues is also no worse than 2-2 going into this week and doing well this week because of what Lacy did.

About to be 4-1 in my McCoy league.

Parlayed Manny Sanders, Moreno, and Asiata into Jordy (AP owner panic trade).

Picked up Phil Rivers off the wire early

Drafted Gio Bernard

Traded Julio/Deangelo for Demaryius and Gore this week.

My business is preying on weak owners and teams. If you're letting mccoy bring your entire team down, that's a you problem.

Eh, kind of a stupid post. Just depends how the rest of your draft looks because many of the 1st round picks have struggled this season. Hoping to be 3-2 after this week thanks to Brown, Cobb, and Bennett mostly and I'm a Lacy owner.

Well apparently it's not obvious to you if you assume every team with Lacy or McCoy is probably doing "so bad". :dunno:

Thanks for your anecdotal input, I'll take it under advisement. You also seem to have trouble with reading comprehension, there was a "probably" in there.

Probably means almost certain. So maybe you need to work on your vocabulary awareness.

So, it is your contention that most people who wasted a pick on one of those 2 players are doing just fine?

Not sure where we are going with this..

I guess what I'm trying to say is that since many of the 1st round picks have struggled, the lackluster performance of Lacy and McCoy will not have as big of an impact on teams as it normally would.

We have McCoy, Lacy, Calvin Johnson, Peterson, Graham, Charles (injury), and depending on drafts D. Thomas or Ball have struggled too. That's 8/12 first round picks.

Therefore I think McCoy and Lacy owners have just as much of a chance as the others to have started off well if they drafted decently.

I can get with that.

I'll be the first to actually answer the question:

I'll vote for Lacy. (whom I already own)

Offered McCoy today for R Matthews and B Oliver. Not sure if I should take it, which is why I checked out this thread. Thoughts?

I'd wait and see if he can do something against the Giants Sunday night.

I started this thread because I think McCoy is a great player and the owner offered him for Lacy. I couldn't pull the trigger because McCoy has now struggled 5 games in a row? That's a pattern and not a fluke. He's still going to have some big games, but I think we'll see some of those ugly games too.

I would still stick with McCoy because chances are you won't start both Matthews and Oliver together. So essentially you're getting a 1 for 1 trade and there's no sure lock that Matthews comes in strong like last year. He didn't look great at the start anyway. And with Oliver breaking out, you might see split carries, where McCoy still gets a solid bulk.

Who cares, there are more important issues to address.

For example, the chick in your avatar.

Obviously a cousin, because there is no way you could land her with that face God and your alcoholic mother gave you.

Do you have any nudes of her you would like to trade for overpriced sunglasses? B)

McCoy is not the same runner. He cannot make people miss or run away from people. Part of the problem is the offensive line, but not all. There is no way he is healthy. I used my 3rd position in the draft to take him - so I hope for a miracle to happen. By the way Lacy was the #1 pick, Green Bay fan..

Outside of the opinion of homers with extremely rose colored glasses it's time to come to grips with Lacy. Slow plodder with a low ceiling that simply can't be relied on. GB had to switch to Starks full time late in the game because of how ineffective Lacy is and was.

It's week 6, he is what he is at this point. Too many factors have to fall perfectly for this guy to even have a respectable performance.

He is what he is .... Perfect analys

As you said He just needs everything exactly right to succeed on a run to run basis and get a full good game. He is just like Trich almost exactly except maybe a little better on second level but at line if scrimmage painful to watch at times

GB oline was overwhelmed again by an opposing dline. Neither starks, nor lacy did squat in the run game.

Starks was not full time late...he was in as a quicker back to be able to run after the catch. It was a no huddle drive...of course he was in there.

Like I said, disregarding homer opinions, you simply don't have the ability to look at the guy objectively.

So the line was good? Im such a homer that I criticize the.oline and rightfully point out that Starks wasn't effective either.

Id say you should find something to talk about that you can speak intelligently about, but I really dont know if such a topic exists.

Lacy is not a speed back, but isn't just a plodder. The Oline has struggled opening holes at times. Lacy has also.danced too much at times. He is not a back that will typically do well on 15 or so carries.

But for the bulk of this game, he still had twice the carries that starks had. He is the lead back and will continue to be so.

Where you called him a slow plodder with a low ceiling. Sure...disagree with every single part of that.

And Starks didn't take over full time...so you were wrong there too.

You should quit now...you are digging yourself into a hole you can't get out of.

Yes he did take over full time late, except for one play late on the goal line.

The analysis of a slow plodder compared to today's starting backs is spot on. Feel bad for yourself for being ignorant of your own squad.

Homers.

Full time to you means a late no huddle drive. Congrats...you prove that you have no clue.

Ignorant of my own squad? Not at all. Try again...better yet, just stop embarrassing yourself.

You should have quit a long time ago, rather than continuing to argue with someone who knows more about football and specifically the Green Bay Packers than you do.

Instead, you kept making yourself look worse with your inability to even try refuting any point I made about the team or Lacy.

Congrats.

So last year Rodgers getting hurt was one of those chips falling into place? The Oline is a mess. How many RB's would even produce behind that Oline?

Lacy is better than what you make him up to be, but not as good as the homer thinks he is.

Point is, I should've made the trade and gotten McCoy. Too late now.

So...then where was I incorrect.

Please inform me or anyone who may actually be paying attention to what you have posted beyond the guy saying Lacy is not as bad as you make him out to be?

Or going to run and hide from the facts again and continue to troll this thread?
