That NL squad is killer. It should beat the snot out of the AL, unless real baseball fans manage to vote in real all stars and not just Royals.

NL fans did a real good job. Basically one 'miss'.

C - Posey

1B - Goldschmidt

2B - Gordon

3B - Frazier

SS - Peralta <---- probably should have been Crawford, not a big miss though

OF - Stanton

OF - Harper

OF - Holliday <----

AL ballot, as I predicted, magically straightened (mostly) out, including Donaldson blowing past everyone for overall vote champ.

C - Perez <---- .275 OBP?

1B - Cabrera

2B - Altuve <---- should be Kipnis, but at least it wasn't Infante

SS - Escobar <---- should be Iglesias, Correa is the best by season's end

3B - Donaldson

OF - Trout

OF - Cain

OF - Gordon <----

DH - Cruz

It has nothing to do with what fans realize, Royals players didn't get voted because fans from other markets admired their fielding skills. Not to mention that Iglesias and Bogaerts have BOTH been better than Escobar in the field and at the plate.

I'm talking more specifically about Alex Gordon being the best defender in the league. Not just because I say so, but because he earned the platinum glove award last year and is on pace to receive the award again this year.

NL All-Star staff is obscene. To put it in context, Bumgarner is legitimately the weakest link.

How insane is it that these guys are on the Final Vote: Tulowitzki, Kershaw, Cueto

The NL is nasty. Glad to see rizzo and Bryant make it as reserves, nice pop on the bench.
