Hail Murray 1 Posted August 22, 2016 10 teamer, standard scoring. We keep two players that take our first two picks. I am keeping Gurley as one. For my second keeper I have to decide between J. Charles or B. Marshall. Was pretty set on Charles but maybe Marshall would be the "safer" way to go. Thanks in advance for any help!
montana 89 Posted August 22, 2016 I'd go Marshall. Charles is the starter but think we'll see him spelled more than ever. Ware & West proved last year they can handle the job. I personally think it'll be like a 60/30/10 split (Charles/Ware/West, accordingly) to keep him healthy for a possible playoff run.
weepaws 3,158 Posted August 22, 2016 Marshall would be the pick.
polecatt 474 Posted August 22, 2016 Interesting dilemma. On the surface Marshall sounds like the best pick and he probably is most of the time. However, depending on your draft spot and who will be available Charles wouldn't be bad either. You could have 2 stud RBs and can focus solely on WRs, the deeper spot, in the early rounds. Marshall is probably going to be easier to replace than Charles. You likely won't be able to get an RB of that caliber. I would still probably go Marshall 60% of the time or so but Charles isn't a bad choice either.
Hail Murray 1 Posted August 22, 2016 Kind of my thinking as well. I'm drafting the 8th spot. I don't have a lot of intel on who is being kept by other teams but I'm thinking if I keep Charles I could have a shot a Marshall but I don't think id have a chance at Charles. polecatt 474 Posted August 22, 2016 Yeah, at 8th it is highly unlikely you get a RB as good as Charles. People seem down on Marshall for some reason so he may fall to you. If not though I still think you will get better value at WR than RB. That's the thing with keepers though, you never know what people are thinking when they choose their keepers. rholio 339 Posted August 22, 2016 Charles. Be set at RB, and grab your WRs in the draft.
Ray_T 740 Posted August 23, 2016 Charles. Be set at RB, and grab your WRs in the draft. This. in an era where stud RB's are rare, you have the chance to have two RB studs. if it works out, this is the home run play. all you gotta do is grab some good WR's and a good QB and you are set. Cretins 22 Posted August 23, 2016 I've always leaned towards RBs myself. As mentioned above, stud RBs are becoming a scarcity. I'd keep Charles and hit WRs early in the draft.
TBayXXXVII 2,486 Posted August 23, 2016 Question. If you only keep Gurley, do you also get the 1st pick? Is so, I'd take that route.
sdc90291 0 Posted August 23, 2016 Agree with the folks on Charles, as I think you may be able to still get Marshall, or if not, someone comparable. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=456774
