LoOnAtIk 75 Posted September 3, 2018 With Duke in the mix I wouldn't bother cuffing Hyde Duke is never in the mix hes often lined up as a WR. Duke has had more targets than carries each of the last 2 seasons. Hyde has proven that he cant be a bellcow without getting dinged up and you have to think the browns like Chubb considering where they drafted him. Chubb is one of my favorite handcuffs to own. TwentyFourSeven 23 Posted September 3, 2018 I drafted Gordon and McCaffery. I grabbed both Ekeler and Anderson very late in The draft.
American Chewy 98 Posted September 4, 2018 no real reason to handcuff your own rbs early in the year. worry about that down the stretch. use the spot for more upside stashes at least till bye weeks hit.

I typically agree with this as gone are the days of the bellcow and now almost everything is RBBC. If one of your stud bellcows goes down, he's most likely going to be replaced by a committee situation which does not optimize value. Back in the day, Stacey Mack was a stud every time Fred Taylor went down, that's a true handcuff. I know I don't want to be starting any RB that is not guaranteed at least 10 total touches in a given week. It's just too risky, and to waste a roster spot on someone not even currently playing? No thanks.

No thanks. Yep plus bye weeks. I sometimes even prefer other players handcuffs rather than my own. If I have my own handcuffs, I can only ever have 1 out of 2 spots be useful to me. If I have your handcuff, theres a chance for me to have 2 viable commodities. The knile Davis debacle made me realize cuffs are largely fools gold and theres usually only a few worthwhile ones and even they can turn to crap sometimes.
