Regardless if we were on lock down, we would still have to be open to serve the farmers who are getting ready to plant.  It changes nothing for my business.

How are the farmers paying their bills?

I can't even with this dude..

You're such a whiny baby.

I can't tell you 100% if COVID has affected my business financially yet because it's too soon.  The only thing I can tell you for sure is that we are busy like we always are this time of year.  We were not sure about applying for the loan originally because we didn't think we needed it but were told by our financial adviser and the bank that we should, so we did.  It's a proactive measure taken by our company.

If this bothers you then take your complaints to the appropriate people in order to make a change.  My business has done nothing wrong and neither have any of the other businesses that applied for the loan.

How ever they can.  Some struggle paying them more than others, just like always.

Your business should have never been eligible. Good for you for defrauding the federal government and the taxpayers. You think I'm a whiny baby and I think you are a piece of sh!t.

Well, it will be obvious for some companies if they lost business because of the shut down.  Then it can be taken from there.

Why shouldn’t we know? I’d like to hear one good reason why not. Hawkeye knows deep down inside this is BS. He keeps laying it off on his financial advisor.

We absolutely have a right to know where our tax dollars are going.

I’d be fine with a published list, but I’d also like the govt to put some stipulations on this thing.

It’s not my fault we are eligible. I’m not defrauding anyone.

I’d love to know how your customers, fellow biz owners and neighbors feel about this when the dust settles.

Sure you are, this money was for businesses to meet payroll. You didn't need it by your own admission. The math is pretty easy on this one.

Good for you man, you got over on the rest of us. The fact that you can't acknowledge any of this let's me truly know what kind of p.o.s. you really are. Like, deep down in your being. Your rants on Trump will hit a little different going forward, knowing your history.

I’m not sure how our customers would feel about this. I know they want us to be open.   As for the fellow owners, who do you think decided to do it?  I’m not the one who filled out the application. I was part of the discussion and we decided to do it.

I’m not taking about your biz owners.

I’m talking about the other biz owners in your community

If this all makes you feel better about something then have at it man.  I’ve already said that we didn’t like the idea doing it originally but were advised to do so.  We didn’t even consider it that much until banks started asking us if we would apply. I don’t know how much we are being affected financially at the moment and I don’t know what may happen to us in the next week or two. We haven’t done anything illegal and followed all the guidelines put in place.

I could have lied about all of this but instead chose to be honest so you all know what’s going on. If you don’t agree with our decision then I apologize. We chose to apply for the loan to protect our business and employees so I won’t feel guilty about that.  If you want to vent to me about it because you’re upset with how this program was handled then go for it, I’ll be your punching bag.

Oh. I’m not sure if it would bother them or not. I’m curious how many other businesses applied for the loan as well.

Trump is saying he thinks they’ll do another $250 B.

He’s also saying the program was executed flawlessly.   Nope

They got money from another source to help them.  It was good that they returned the $10 million but our situations are not the same.

I didn’t get any.  Those ahead of me got it all.  The kick in the pants - my application could not be submitted until April 10th as an independent contractor.

That sucks.  I haven't heard yet, are they adding more money to it?

We were promised there would be money for Indy contractors, gig workers and the self employed.  All we had to do was wait until April 10th to submit our applications and supporting documents.

I am 100% confident more money will be allocated.  I hope I’m one of the lucky one’s.

I hope there is a clawback when some of these companies do their taxes.

Why did they make some wait?

To reduce the influx of applications is my guess.  It was an easy way to cut off who went first.

That's the part that sucks.  A good friend of mine is a carpenter and he was trying to apply for it as well.

Hope the Indy contractor gets a crack at a few bucks.  BTW, my total loan amount is in the $15k territory.  I’m looking to be able to pay my bills not a bonus.

Fingers crossed for us lowly self employed.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/ruths-chris-made-468-million-153042011.html

Take, for example, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, which has more than 150 locations and more than 5,700 employees, and is owned by the publicly traded Ruth's Hospitality Group. The company made $42 million in profit on $468 million in revenue last year, which the company partly spent on more than $5 million in stock buybacks, and it has $86 million in cash reserves. Ruth's Hospitality Group successfully applied for the maximum $10 million in PPP loans for two of its properties, even as the company reports that it has furloughed a "significant number of field and home office team members."
