Twitter adopts 'poison pill' to prevent Elon Musk takeover

I didn’t interpret that as anything to do with his own opinion, but rather a gross oversimplification about his thoughts on each of the generation’s opinions.

Your interpretation of something isn't worth the calories it took to type it out.

Quick glance at the replies and I don’t see anyone talking about Mars.  Most people either complaining that people can’t afford to have kids because of inflation or blaming libs for pushing the idea of not wanting kids.

Do you really think that post had anything to do with colonizing Mars?

Also, do you think Hunter Biden d1ck pics should be allowed on x?

This is a joke right?  Are you suggesting because Musk took the “America” handle he’s not going to make political posts from his personal account anymore?

If so, holy fock you’re dumb.  For one, that’s already not happening.  And even if it was, he didn’t need to take a handle that was already taken in order to do that.

Bump for @Strike.  Curious for some clarification here.  Do you really think Musk took the “America” username so he could put his political posts there and not on his personal username?

What's the difference? Remember the guy who ran Facebook and used it to post disinformation about Trump, then admitted to it?

Thanks for admitting you believe x isn’t politically neutral

Probably should have tagged @5-Points as well, any thoughts?

Again, if the account handle was "Offical X Management Account" and Musk was posting political opinion, you might have a point.

Musk, the man, has 1A rights just like everyone else. He doesn't keep anyone from exercising their 1A rights on his platform. Unlike the previous owner, who purposely and systematically silenced the views/voices of those with whom he disagreed politically.

I take it you didn’t read the post/article about him using his power as owner of X to confiscate an inactive username to use for a pro-Trump PAC?

Here is a good change by Musk.  Kudos.

The main thing is the blocker doesn’t want to see the block-ee, right? So long as that’s unchanged no big deal.

But Musk continues to make bafflingly poor business decisions on the platform. The guy already is faced with dwindled company value & real users fleeing the platform. People want to curate their timeline, & this is just makes it harder.

And politically the people who dredge up old posts are typically liberal journos & bloggers. This only helps them.

How does it make it harder to “curate their timeline”?

Anyone can still see posts from people who blocked them, you just need a different account.  So basically this just saves them a few seconds.  I’m not sure who’s more upset about the change, but anecdotally I’ve found righties much quicker to block someone that doesn’t agree with the echo chamber.

You should worry about how you spend your own money

If it's not obvious to you that Twitter is his play thing you're dumber than we thought.

If I won the lottery tomorrow I might buy a Tesla and light it on fire.  Because I hate EV and cause I could and it wouldn't hurt me financially one bit.

Saints would cry about it trying to prove something about my business prowess.

The richest man on the planet has bosses.  The guy who just caught a rocket booster in mid air the other day. Check yourself into an asylum.   Save us from your stupidity. 🤣🤣🤣

Guys. I really need to know. Who is Elon's boss?  Who is telling him what to do?  Support Trump, don't support Trump. Fire rockets, don't post on Twitter.

This guy, I think he's a guy, @SaintsInDome2006 just tried to tell me Bill Achman was Elon's boss. Bill is worth a measly 9 billion dollars.  🤣 9 billion. Musk paid 5 times that just to have Twitter as his play toy.

I know, X and TSLA (lol) aren't doing so good.  But just in case you've been asleep at the wheel I'll let you in on a little secret. Musk owns space.  The vast majority of satellites going into space are his. VAST MAJORITY.  He just caaught a booster rocket in mid air the other day!  Stop and think about that for a minute.

We need to reopen insane asylums for people like @SaintsInDome2006.  Seriously, and the other effeminates.

:first:

I'm no Musk, but I own FFT.

Yes, he reports to the people who pay him money, just like everyone else. Quite a list too.

So to confirm, you would have no issue if some lib billionaire was offering $1 million to sign a petition in support of pro-choice laws?

Also I hope he announces the winners and shows that some registered Democrats win (since anyone can sign the petition, and I’m sure many libs have)

Are you wimps scared yet?

Aside from the vote buying scheme - couldn’t Dems, socialists, even illegal migrants just sign up for this? This reminds me of Mike Lindell who offered someone/anyone $5 million to disprove his election claims, then he welshed, then he was forced to pony up after being sued. My guess is Musk won’t like some of the winners because they don’t fit the mold & the same thing will happen.
