How averse are you to 2 WRs from the same team?

Recommended Posts

I drafted Diggs and Higgins but acquired Chase while he was out. Now he's likely back. There's more risk in playing 2 WRs from the same team, but there aren't many options for a flex spot that a top 10 WR and all 3 of of these guys are that. I can play 2 at WR and 1 at Flex.

Thoughts?

Depends on the team.  There are only a handful of teams that I’d be ok regularly starting their #2 WR, but Cinci is one of them.  Or Miami.  Or SF.  Maybe Seattle.

Depends on the Qb, and Burrow is able to feed both.  I think it’s a good move.

I don't really think it's a whole lot different than having two players on the same offense.

A QB or RB and WR is a little more flexibility. Two WRs, it just depends on who it is and what your other options are.

Play who you think is gonna score you the most points.

Ja'Mar Chase is a lock in any line up at WR and Tee Higgins isn't too far behind. It probably does limit the upside a little bit, but that's the same with the downside too.

Yes, a RB/WR or WR/WR pair from the same team promotes consistency in scoring.  Less likely to have really big weeks across both players, but also less likely to have both players completely whiff.  Good for guaranteeing a floor, not so good for swinging for the fences.

This.

when it comes down to it, I’ll put in the players who I think will score the most pts.

sometimes I will diversify… just so if a team has a bad week I am not overly impacted.

Also, if it is close on a couple of players I may start a wr who is on the same team as my opponent’s qb (ie: debating juju vs Boyd or tee, playing against mahomes I may go with juju)

I’ve never been one to match up a wr to my opponents Qb, or the other way around.

in certain situations, i have used it as a depper "tie breaker" on who to start.

Stacked Juju and Mecole a few times this year with Mahomes. All my leagues are diversified otherwise. No more than one starter per team except the Chiefs.
