Mike Honcho 5,189 Posted December 12, 2022 Well, it's morning. Uber crappy to start Monday after going to bed early, but sleeping terribly. Going to be a long long day. Also, I'd probably be feeling better if I did more with my weekend than endless games of Madden. On this day in 1930 Baseball Rules Committee greatly revises the rule book, ball bouncing into stands not a HR, now a double----I knew about this and have always wondered how many of Ruth's HR's would be ground-rule doubles today? Every geek have a great week.

MTSkiBum 1,620 Posted December 12, 2022 I spent a few hours cleaning the garage, although it will still take an additional 20+ hours over a couple months before it is clean and organized. Usually every winter I clean it out because it is impossible during the summer. Also cleaned around the house and played video games with the kids and watched some football. I had plans to fish Sunday morning, although we got hit by thunderstorms so that was a no go.
jerryskids 6,616 Posted December 12, 2022 Good morning! Had a great weekend; birthday party for the wife with kids went off great in the remodeled house/kitchen -- finished putting ornaments on the tree, new bar worked well for drinks and Irish coffees, then the kitchen for dinner and board games (played a new one called "Exploding Kittens," quite fun and simple except my youngest daughter outflanked me. ). One bad thing: we bought a bunch of TVs for the remodel including one to mount on the back patio. We picked it because it was rated good for bright light. Luckily we put the same one up inside, because we discovered... the polarization on the screen is 90 degrees off from sunglasses, so the screen is black with sunglasses (unless you turn your head sideways). No bueno for an outside TV in Phoenix. It's a Samsung btw. We also got an LG which is the same alignment as sunglasses so you can watch it fine. It's still in the box so I'm gonna return it to Amazon today, they should love that. ETA: 65 inches, definitely takes two to carry it.

Never even thought that the TV's had a polarization built into the glass. Makes sense though...I will have to look up "exploding kittens".

More than just cleaning it. Ah I gotcha Must have a good bit of stuff in there. Our house thankfully came with a bunch of cabinets in the garage at the back. Has an indention beside the door going to the house that goes all the way to the opposite wall. So the cabinets are flush with the door and don’t stick out into the rest of the garage. Makes storage 10X better which we definitely needed
DonS 3,292 Posted December 12, 2022 Good weekend of football both real life and fantasy-wise. Buffalo wins and Miami loses. My underperforming fantasty team rides CMC to a win that let's me squeak into the playoffs. On tap for this week is seeing the band Soen tomorrow. I was originally just going by myself but my daughter was able to get tomorrow off - she works night shift - so she'll be joining me.

Voltaire 5,237 Posted December 12, 2022 Good Morning Last post from Panzhihua… may not be last post from China. I could be bored during a layover.
