Who picks going to hellfire (the second death)?  God does.  Why?  Because He is sovereign.

Romans 9:10-21

And not only that, but this too: Rebecca conceived [two sons under exactly the same circumstances] by our forefather Isaac, and the children were yet unborn and had so far done nothing either good or evil. Even so, in order further to carry out God’s purpose of selection (election, choice), which depends not on works or what men can do, but on Him Who calls [them], it was said to her that the elder [son] should serve the younger [son]. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated (held in relative disregard in comparison with My feeling for Jacob).

What shall we conclude then? Is there injustice upon God’s part? Certainly not!

For He says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion (pity) on whom I will have compassion. So then [God’s gift] is not a question of human will and human effort, but of God’s mercy. [It depends not on one’s own willingness nor on his strenuous exertion as in running a race, but on God’s having mercy on him.] For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, I have raised you up for this very purpose of displaying My power in [dealing with] you, so that My name may be proclaimed the whole world over.

So then He has mercy on whomever He wills (chooses) and He hardens (makes stubborn and unyielding the heart of) whomever He wills.

You will say to me, Why then does He still find fault and blame us [for sinning]? For who can resist and withstand His will? But who are you, a mere man, to criticize and contradict and answer back to God? Will what is formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me thus? Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same mass (lump) one vessel for beauty and distinction and honorable use, and another for menial or ignoble and dishonorable use?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No one is able to come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me attracts and draws him and gives him the desire to come to Me, and [then] I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day.  --John 6:44 (AMPC)

And He said, This is why I told you that no one can come to Me unless it is granted him [unless he is enabled to do so] by the Father.  --John 6:65 (AMPC)

God knows I'm no particular fan of weepaws, but I would ask that you keep the fantasy football stuff on the fantasy football board, and let this thread be about God/the Bible/spirituality.

Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's, but give unto God that which is God's.

And I am full on Catholic and I still don't think about pushing God on a FF website.

I can't speak for weepaws, but my purpose is not to "push" God.  As you might have noticed from my posts, I believe God is in control, and He will save anyone He wants saved; it has nothing to do with me or the person in question.

I do, however, enjoy talking and teaching about God, the Bible, and spirituality in general, and since this is basically the "Water Cooler" section of the site, I see nothing wrong with discussing such topics in this thread, in this forum.

So if there's anything you would like to have explained--and as a "full on Catholic," I would imagine there are a number of things you have wondered about--I am at your service.

I don't need anything explained. Your "teaching" should not be so "I know, You don't."

Preachers preach, prophets prophesy, to correct your first sentence, and the second sentence seems like an entirely spurious claim, given that you have no idea what I know, but let's hope that it's true, and that I can look forward to some new insights from you regarding God, the Bible, or spirituality in general that have never occurred to me before.  Anyone who needs no explanation of Catholic beliefs must be some sort of theological prodigy, so let's hope that was a true claim on your part, and not some egotistical fluff.

What would you say is your spiritual gift?

Learning is the greatest joy...

Feel free. But you kind of come across as a judgmental ass. I'm glad you are a follower but I don't like you as a spokesperson for what I believe in. Any chance you went to Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois? :dunno:

God is the judge, you get to decide what His judgement will be for you,  the Bible makes people feel judged ,those that speak from the Bible are than received as Judgemental.

Im not the spokesperson , God’s word is, if you don’t like what I’m saying, your problem is not with me, but with the author of the Bible, and His name is God.

I’ll be praying that the truth will abide in you.

Amen.

God has all the answers. No need to question anything.

I don't want to neglect your spiritual needs, but you keep presenting them in the wrong thread!

So I'll address them here...

God does have all the answers; this follows from the principle of omniscience.

God also commands us to question everything, and to think rationally.

"But the spiritual man tries all things [he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things]"  --1 Corinthians 2:15a (AMPC)

"Always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is in you, but do it courteously and respectfully."  --1 Peter 3:15b (AMPC)
