So many people picking them as a team poised to take big steps forward this year.   Longtime lions fans just waiting for the 2023 Same Old Lions moment.  Going with a Jared Goff injury in week 6 that sinks them this year.

Packer fan here.  I always thought the Lions had the best helmet in the league.  I also predicted two years ago the ascension of the Lions and the Berars when each finally gave up decades of ridiculous drafting practices and started concentrating on the fundamentals.  The Packers and the Vikes were due for a pull back and retooling.  The Lions did a nice job and have a window right now.  Windows close quickly.

Certainly any team that loses their QB is going to suffer.  But this is the best Lions team in the Super Bowl era.  Offensively they are easily in the top 5.  Defensively is still unknown, but their secondary is stacked this year, linebacker crew is upgraded, and the defensive line is loaded with young promising tslent.  The whole team is young, they are not weighted down by bad contracts, and are poised to be good for years to come.   The day Sheila took over, the same old Lions mantra died.   The went from the worst run organization in sports to one of the best.

I am a big fan of their current helmet.   The alternative helmet color scheme is pretty awesome and the retro logo has some cool nostalgia associated with it, but the current Lion is so much better than the old one.

That is one sweet looking NFL helmet.  Great shade of blue.

They by all means should win the division and go to the playoffs.   Their defense was still bad.  Their offense surprised the hell out of me and I still don't understand how they were that good.  Finally got a real Oline maybe.  But yea by all mean they win thay division.   After that not sure.  Goff is an ok QB but not sure he will win a playoff game there.

Why mention the Bears? I think they are doing things better but you think they are on some sort of rise?
