I haven’t been to one during football yet with one. I went up to Rhode Island last month and thought about stopping for a night. Fockin prices were stupid. Even the hotels around the area. At foxwoods I feel like they want you to have the illusion you're not being robbed and can have fun. $10 table limits and even $5 if it's a weekday. Encore min is $25. Fock them. weepaws 3,160 Posted July 15, 2023 If casinos were honest, there wouldn’t be any casinos. And many people wouldn’t have anyplace to go to lose the money they can’t afford to lose, how awful.

easilyscan 908 Posted July 15, 2023 The Native American casinos here in Minnesota were fun back in the 90s. They have a complete monopoly on casino gaming in the state. I'd go at least once a week. Mystic Lake casino in Shakopee is the biggest in the state. Don't remember the name of the tribe, but they were/are relatively small, & 'members' were grossing 36K per month & no federal taxes. That was all the way back in the 90s and the casino is at least twice as big now. Apparently, that wasn't enough as they gradually started tightening down the machines. My favorite casino was/is southwestern Minnesota. I got to know some of the employees really well and they told me it worked like this. The feds would make an unannounced visit, find they had the machines adjusted too tight. They made them re-adjust the settings and pay a small fine. A day or 2 after they were gone, they'd tighten them down. That being said, the first video which tries to elicit sympathy for little old ladies, doesn't work on me. I guess I'm a libertarian that way. If you choose to destroy your financial life, it's no one's fault but your own. The best point made in the video is towards the very end where the old guy says you only win if/when you quit on those visits where you get ahead. I learned that the hard way. Wall Street has also become a casino. All sorts of new hybrid/exotic Investment available for people to (likely) lose their arse on. I know a guy who has owned stock in his local energy/electricity company for 20 years. He told me he recently sold it all to invest in something called............. YieldMax TSLA Option Income Strategy ETF (TSLY) TSLY aims to generate monthly income while providing exposure to the price returns of the Tesla stock (TSLA), subject to a cap on potential investment gains. The fund utilizes a synthetic covered call strategy via standardized exchange-traded and FLEX options, which consists of three elements: i) synthetic long exposure, ii) covered call writing, and iii) US Treasurys. I'm familiar with selling covered calls to generate additional income. I do it myself occasionally, but this guy sold a stock that has treated him incredibly well (20 year annualized return of 12.76%) & put all the proceeds in a hybrid Tesla investment. I own Tesla myself, and it's done incredibly well, but this just reeks of someone not satisfied with getting rich slowly. I hope it works out for him. FYI: If you're someone who decides to go to a casino for the first time, play video poker, preferably joker poker. Best payback & you actually have to think about every hand vs pulling down the arm and letting things fall where they may.

I wasn’t referencing native American casinos, they can do whatever they want and I would never gamble there. I do think that the casinos in Las Vegas are telling you exactly what they’re doing.
