GobbleDog 981 Posted August 13, 2023 We all need one, so let's waste a second on the most random position in ff. History shows most top 5 kickers play for 50-50 teams. Make sense. Winning teams don't settle for field goals; losing teams can't score a field goal. So middling teams: o/u 7.5 wins - Packers, Bears, Titans, Giants, Panthers, Patriots o/u 8.5 wins - Steelers, Seahawks, Vikings, Falcons, Broncos From that group, Seattle's Jason Myers looks good. 32 yo career 85.9%, coming off 91.9% and a perfect 6 for 6 beyond 50 yds. Also good, Falcon's Younghoe Koo. 29 yo career 89.1%, coming off 86.5%. Missed 4 of 11 beyond 50 though. Don't know if any were blocked or Dey-Tu-Lo. Finally, Giant's Gano Graham. 36 yo career 84.6%, coming off 90.6%. Only missed 1 of 9 beyond 50 last year. So... who ya taking with your last pick?
polecatt 474 Posted August 13, 2023 I tend to favor kickers who play mostly in good weather and domes. That would be Younghoe Koo from that group
League Champion 1,896 Posted August 13, 2023 I don't go crazy worrying about kicker but I do go for a kicker in a good offense
nobody 2,557 Posted August 14, 2023 I'm rolling with McManus. I think Jacksonville's offense is going to be up a level this year.

Ive done well by this guy. best thing about him is he is rarely the first or second kicker off the board and he is usually a top 5 kicker. I think one year he was the #8 ranked kicker. if that's your floor, its a nice floor. Whats not to like.

In any case, he'll definitely go early this year... he's ranked #1 on FantasyPros, ESPN, and Yahoo.
Baker Boy 1,687 Posted August 14, 2023 I have found that you can pickup a top 10 kicker on waivers every year. My last pick is always my kicker and I go by last year’s league stats to draft. It seems that the solid kickers, like Justin Tucker, are always drafted earlier than I am willing to spend the draft choice.

But I read an article analyzing dome vs outdoor kickers... and history shows they're about the same. I guess the wind can work for, and against them. Don't know about good weather vs bad weather cities. Might be a little something to that.
rallo 136 Posted August 18, 2023 Caleb Shudak from the titans. Offense should be improved but may stutter in RZ until Burks/Nuk/Tannehill all get on the same page could lead to a lot of FG attempts. Strong leg, and was solid at the U of Iowa.
