Construction of the windmills has environmental impacts, there is no doubt about that.  Whether or not it is affecting whale population I have no idea, I haven't read the environmental impact studies. Nor did I read the irrelevant links you provided when you thought I was claiming something I wasn't.  Mainly because I don't give two chits about some whale population off the northeast coast.

At this point, there is no scientific evidence that noise resulting from offshore wind site characterization surveys could potentially cause mortality of whales. There are no known links between recent large whale mortalities and ongoing offshore wind surveys.

It is not the noise but the sonar the survey and construction work use.  I find the fact, worded to deceive. They knew about this before they started the project, and then they denied it when it happened. But all is good because it’s for the green cars.
