BunnysBastatrds 2,435 Posted September 27, 2023 I do theft control/greeter at a popular sports store. Rules for addressing shop lifters, let them go and don’t confront them in anyway. If you try and stop them, they drop the merchandise on the ground and pretend to fall down hard because you tried to stop them and sue the store for ten grand, and they most always win. Sad and crazy times. Last Sunday, there was guy seen shoplifting in the fan sports apparel stealing Saints jerseys. He came in dressed like a woman with a wig and dress on and a distinctive colored hat. Told manager and he looked at the video and gave me a picture to be on the lookout. He showed back up Tuesday and they y caught him. Hiring a detail cop would be a quick fix but they don’t do it.Dumd move as it would be cheaper than losing inventory loss.
