Seen the words "insurrection" and "coup" about the "January 6" thing often on this site.

Don't tell me - you think they caused this all to happen.

telling that after the fact the FBI will not answer anything at all including anything on Ray Epps who spurred on the crowd with a magophone:  Ray Epps was not charged.  Wonder why.

That’s not what I have said. But when the FBI director won’t put a number on it theee years after the crime it does raise some questions. But you and your ilk are just not intellectually curious, so you remain ignorant

Good to hear you didn’t go there.

The FBI director, a lifelong Republican who was put into the job by Trump point blank called any idea that they were involved or orchestrated Jan 6th incorrect and that any idea he is based against conservatives insane.

This is again muddying the waters and avoiding the main point - Jan 6th was the culmination of months of a losing Prez trying to overturn his election loss.

Mitt Romney and Chris Christie are lifelong republicans too. I guess they are pro trump then too. You’re a silly person.

A local guy just got arrested for what appears to be pretty minor involvement but the charges are significant.

If that was supposed to be an attempt to overthrow government, they were woefully unprepared.

Objectively speaking, I don't see how it gets argued that way.

Most ill-prepared insurrectionists ever.

I wish people would understand it's their partisan animus (and their statism) which allows them to support throwing the book at that crowd while silently passing over the ironically "peaceful" protestors of the last few years.

You ignored the part where he went on record saying the FBI was not involved.

That many normal and reasonable Republicans acknowledge that Trump is a dangerous scumbag is just a side note.

Libtards actually like being lied to. They are grateful for it. Like when Biden was able to go on the debate stage and claim, falsely, that the laptop was a Russian plant. They are so happy that the democrats were able to corral allies in the CIA to provide cover for Biden with a blatant falsehood. And the list is long. They loved, and still love , the discredited Steele dossier. Kids in cages. Bleach. Very fine people. They don’t feel at all curious about these false claims, they eat it up. Even defend the lie they are told.  Sad.

Good. Then you can stop claiming they are credible because of the R next to their name. It means nothing.

As I said it just is nice to note. Removes that they are liberal hacks comment that inevitable comes.

So about him saying the FBI was not involved under oath in front on Congress. What else does he need to do?

In court they put the number at north of 40.  But yet there was no added security.   It is so obvious what went down.

A few posts up you said they had agents there. Are you playing games with the “involved” caveat?

FBI having agents there and being the ones who caused it to happen is just a tad different don’t you think?

It does make it easier to prosecute when you talk about it on Twitter and then stream your attack the Capitol on Facebook Live 😂

Why were they there? To observe? So they allowed crimes to be committed in their presence and took no action?

You just don’t want to acknowledge it because the guy who is responsible for it happens to be the nom for team red tie. Crazy town!

That is a good question and one that is probably not simple to answer.

Here is a good account from one informant there that day

To me it sounds like a complete mess and chaos - which we have the advantage of watching on TV. Thousands of people all wound up by their Prez lying his ass off for months - because he was a loser and he can’t take it.

So, Trump sent his cult to the Capitol to take it over via force. Yet he has the national guard at the ready in order to quell any outbreaks of violence. How stupid do you have to be to believe that?

The opinions and actions of just about every Republican politician in Congress during that day and in the days after the event don't push the narrative of it being seen as a minor event.  Their own words and actions would tell you of the severity of it.

IMO the nuts at the Capitol were sad  dopes who got deluded by Trump and many ruined their lives for this. Part of how crazy the whole affair is.

But, the actions Trump took as the Prez leading up to this are the important and more dangerous issues here.

It can be a serious event and a failure to take proper action, at the same time. Pretty simple.

So nothing organized and nothing of any consequence. Everyone went home and no big deal unlike the liberal rioting of a few months earlier.

Broke into businesses during the riotous summer of love? The looters? The arsonists? The murderers? The violent liberal bltches? The current VP for putting them back on the streets?

Hang them all.

It’s to be determined. The federal and GA cases.

Regardless of the outcome it’s insane he’s lined up to be the nom. Really baffling.

The violent ones should get time, the vandals not as much time, and the others charged with trespass.  This conspiracy nonsense is just that.
