Sweeping criminal justice reforms in Illinois have had "overwhelmingly negative" effects

Who do you think is telling Google, YouTube and Twitter to censor.  Federal bureaucracies colluded with all the tech giants and friendly media organizations.  But you find that a non-story.  So GTFO with your BS.  You love when conservatives get censored and especially were glad the way the FBI suppressed and covered up the Hunter story which enabled Biden to win.

Wait, what? Biden won because the Hunter non-story was suppressed and covered up?

Dude. 😟

Yes, polls after the election indicated the election would have flipped had the Hunter story been factually reported.

Not any polls I've seen.

Of course,  becuse you have seen none.   Most people believe otherwise......

Nearly four of five Americans who’ve been following the Hunter Biden laptop scandal believe that “truthful” coverage would have changed the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, according to a new poll.

A similar percentage also said they’re convinced that information on the computer is real, with just 11% saying they thought it was “created by Russia,” according to the survey conducted by the New Jersey-based Technometrica Institute of Policy and Politics.

And an even higher number — 81% — said US Attorney General Merrick Garland should appoint a special counsel to investigate matters related to the first son’s infamous laptop, the existence of which was exclusively revealed by The Post in October 2020.

Wish we still had truthful coverage.

The NY Post article doesn't reference any poll that says that.

We really never had in recent history going back to the 1950s..  Since it's inception, the CIA has been heavily focused on manipulating and controlling the media and shaping public opinion.  Our government is easily the #1 provider of propaganda worldwide.  Government propaganda targeted at Americans was supposedly outlawed, but became legal again under Obama.   Not that the CIA ever really cared about following the law.

Using the word “Marxist” in this context makes it meaningless. It  was originally supposed to mean a group of ideas, originated by Karl Marx, that led to the workers controlling the means of production. Eventually, after the rise of Communism, it came to mean being in favor of redistribution of wealth regardless of earning power. (And, among extremists, a state dictatorship in order to enforce that redistribution.)

But among foolish people like this sheriff and those who support him here, it apparently has come to mean any liberal policy which conservatives don’t like. Which isn’t surprising but really inane and dumb.

It’s amusing seeing you and SquidTard so cocksure of your knowledge of the modern American Left, which you are both quite ignorant of.  One of the reasons for this is because you never stray out of your bubble, and you do very little reading outside of things that support your worldview.  I find this is the main difference between the Left and the Right these days, and why Conservatives are so much more informed.. Check this out if you want to better understand the modern day intersection of Marxism and the American Left:

I think more conservative are less informed.  They believe that the red team is here to protect them, there is no difference between the red and blue.   We see more red team members views on imported topics match those of their blue team buddies.  Not be fooled.  Put your trust in the Lord, and not man.

Mark Levin is not somebody I ever agree with or trust to provide me an accurate analysis of anything.

But even beyond that I gotta ask: how do you guys tolerate his shrill whiny voice? I can’t bear to listen to more than 30 seconds.

Conservatives are much better informed, and it’s not even close.  30 years ago it was the complete opposite.  Leftists have been brainwashed to distrust and dismiss alternative viewpoints and news.  Tim and SquidTard admit it daily - they WILL NOT even bring themselves to read the works of someone like Mark Levin, who is as reputable a historian and political commentator as there is in this country.  Conservatives aren’t like that.  We read alternative views, mostly because they are all around us and are impossible to ignore.  And I do trust the Lord my friend.

I think you misunderstood me. I’ve read Mark Levin. I find his arguments absurd and terribly flawed. But I’ve read him. I read lots of conservatives.

Calling Levin a reputable historian is ridiculous. There are some great conservative historians: Paul Johnson comes to mind, and Victor Davis Hanson (his political views are off the deep end but he’s terrific at history.) Levin is not one of them.

What if he were to instead assert that the reforms had helped and improved the situation?  Would you then applaud him?

No. I’m sure that if Mark Levin made 20 assertions I would agree with 2-3 of them. Doesn’t change the fact that he’s dishonest and disreputable IMO. He’s cringeworthy.

Agree with regard to Levin, he is the rights version of Joy Reid....

Now, back to Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Bullard.....What if he were to instead assert that the reforms had helped and improved the situation?  Would you then applaud him?

Based on his commentary here I don’t really regard him as a reliable authority/ he’s too biased in one direction. In addition, as I wrote earlier, I don’t see how anyone can argue that the reforms have improved the situation OR made them worse. It’s too soon.

So his position on this topic has, in your opinion, rendered him non-relevant.  OK.....

But my question is different.  What if instead of honestly evaluating what he is observing as a seasoned and trained law enforcement official.....what if instead, he supported your position....from the jump.......would he THEN be relevant?

No. Not when he uses terms like Marxism. If he was a liberal using terms like fascism he would be just as irrelevant. By using such terms he defines himself as somebody who allows strong political thinking to affect his judgement. So I don’t trust his analysis.
