Roth basically gave up on the band when Eddy incorporated synthesizer for their songs then and after.

Yep just watched a Doc on that and both was going in different directions with the music. Weird Sammy was for the synthesize music since his solo stuff was more hardcore but hey VH is a money making Gig,

while they still used the synthesizers, it was fun having both of those guitarists on stage.

Roth's "Eat 'em and Smile" is such a great album. The rest of his solo work, not so much, although "Skyscraper" is OK. It just has too many Roth vocal tracks on it.

I'm glad he has hung it up. He has sounded horrible in recent years, and I hate the way he talk-sang through songs.

Recently saw Aerosmith and Tyler does the same thing...when he's not getting the audience to sing the song for him.

That's just sad.

I saw The Rolling Stones a couple of years ago, and Jagger still sings every note with 100 percent conviction while running around like a 25-year-old.

His vocals on the new album are unbelievable. He can still nail those high notes like he does in "Sympathy for the Devil."
