Ms. Trump’s remarks to The Epoch Times, and later, to supporters, provided new insights about her vision for a revamped and reinvigorated RNC.

“It feels, for a long time, like the Democrats have been playing chess and we’ve been playing checkers,” she said. Her goal is for the Republican Party “to be the opposite, to be steps ahead of them, and on our toes, and ahead of the game, and facing forward the whole time.”

Ms. Trump, the wife of President Trump’s son, Eric, also advocates two other efforts that she says would be unprecedented.

Republicans need to be urged to vote early, not just on election day, as they typically have preferred, she said. She also wants to see the RNC’s program for training poll watchers expanded nationwide.

I'm not a bigly fan of ballot harvesting, but goodness knows the Dems do it, so if the Repubs are going to remain competitive, I guess that's a necessary evil.

Yep.  I don't condone cheating and manipulation but the Democrats have been doing it for 10-20 years now so I guess we have no choice.

Meh. God speed. Nice to see the RNC and, by extension Trump, finally tacitly admit to what we already know is true. They know damn well these practices are legal and secure. Either that or they have every intention of trying to cheat. My bet is on the latter.

Between really harvesting the homeless, the illegals we let in and an expansion into the deceased Republican voter registration....we're going to roll.  You guys would be better trying to supress votes.  You do that pretty well.  Get a couple of Gravy Seal looking Nazi Trump supporters and have them try to be menacing looking at the polls that day.....the MIGHT work for you.  But you're not going out ballot harvest the DNC.  We invented that .

It wasn’t hard. I don’t necessarily treat this place like I’m writing a dissertation so thanks for asking.

There’s zero doubt in my mind they’d take that cash if it isn’t politically damaging. 

I think it’s insane to have this much influence resting with the Trump family but I don’t hold them in high regard

I think it’s also terrible for the GOP.

It has been said that a democratic government can exist until the people realize they can vote themselves money from the public treasury.  And yet, we haven't quite gotten there yet. Why not? There are always more have-nots than haves.  Historically there were factors like concern about the welfare of the country, but that is dwindling in our hedonistic culture.  There were also natural suppressive factors like land ownership -- one needed to have skin in the game to vote, for instance.  We've done away with all of those, such that any loser who has no idea what is going on in his neighborhood or country can vote.

All except one factor, a critical one.  That factor is apathy.  The same people who could vote in people with policies to give them more free stuff, often lack the impetus to actually take the effort to vote.  Apathy keeps the scales somewhat even.

This is why ballot harvesting concerns me -- IMO it messes with the natural order of things.
