My team sucks. See ya next week.  Rooting for the scheffler kid to pop out at any time.

People complain, I get it. It sucks to to watch golf when your team blows. Don't I know it.

you've been much better and I appreciate it. Just keep it to a sometime and not all the time :)

You needed a bad week or you'd be running away with it. Think about your peers

Almost makes it worse 😆 on the bright side it’s only round one. Things can flip. But by Saturday if my team sucks I’d rather MC and tune in next week

I think he was Double Tour and that handle appears to be dead, so maybe.

Here’s a good video showing most of what I mentioned. In a lot of the head on shots of his stance and setup you can see the back shoulder is tilted below the lead shoulder. His body looks like a reverse K.

I went to the range today and tried this.  It was... surprisingly effective.  Not surprising that the ball went higher so much, that's physics.  But the fact that I hit it mostly straight given so many changes to my swing -- ball more forward, reverse K with weight on back foot, and avoiding forward sway were the main things.  Yeah, I hit a few 25 degree moon shots off to the right, but again, for such radical changes, it went quite well.

For some reason, and I hadn't started drinking... I used my Garmin A10 and, while I got a lot of good info, I never put it in the mode where I could see swing speed.  My usual driver speed is 95-100.  But I feel like the forward sway is more harm than good -- while it adds some speed, it often causes a more downward angle and a Mr. Snappy to the left.  I plan to go back and use this mode.  I also use a SuperSpeed swing speed knockoff, where I'll try this modified swing in my training.

I did put the ball a little more forward than my heel.  The instructor advised a wider stance to move the center of his stance back more.  Problem with that is, for me, that it overly restricts my rotation.  So I moved the ball more forward (which he said he does anyway) and it allowed me to hit up AND get the rotation.

Finally, I tried this a little on irons and it was very effective.  Not that I was trying to hit up per se, but I think I had the ball too far back.  I was very happy with the flight of my W/8/6 irons, particularly the reverse K and keeping the forward sway down.

Thanks WW!

Wells Fargo Round Two (suspended)

1. Wonder  -15  (-7, -6, -2)

2. Jerry  -15  (-7, -4, -4**)

3. Lager  -12  (-6, -4, -2**)

4. Alias  -12  (-6**, -3, -3)

5. Fumble  -10  (-4**, -3, -3)

6. Edjr  -7  (-11, +1**, +3**)

7. Dain  -4  (-4, -1, +1**)

8. Pat  -4  (-3**, -1, E)

9. Cloaca  +5  (+1**, +2, +2)

Just because I don't know what my or Lager's schedule is like earlier tomorrow.

** indicates a counting score still on the course.

Still a number of key players yet to finish so a good chance Jerry will actually be #1 after Benji An finishes, Alias and Lager battling for 3rd, Edjr should pick up a shot or 2... etc.

I’m playing in a scramble at 8:00 tomorrow morning. I will be able to update once I get home

Thanks WW!

Glad to hear it!

admittedly I learned it from another video that I couldn’t quite find that talked specifically about shoulder tilt, but I know you are smart enough to get that in this guys video the shoulder tilt comes from his focus on head and weight back. It’s the same thing. Like I mentioned, my head is behind the ball.

my stance is not as wide as his, though I have the flexibility to do it when I want.

In the vid I linked, he mentioned how moving the ball up in your stance can accentuate a left miss and this is definitely the case for me. So I have to be extra mindful to rotate my hips through impact and get my belt buckle pointing at my target line

Yesterday put me in a foul mood as well. I’m just glad I will likely gain season points on pat and Clocaine

I like the 10 event format, but I don’t like doubleheaders. I say next year we take an “off” event or two that will require some research

I went from leading after two days to at this point likely not even finishing top 4.
There are scores out there and not a single of my 5 players are under par.
-15 to currently -6

might be time to hang it up
