Pierce v Downs

In full ppr these two are available, I just lost Kupp and need a replacement. I plan on dropping the ghost of Josh Palmer how would u guys rate these two I’m kinda leaning downs being the slot guy who showed last year before he got hurt he can be high volume. Thoughts.

Pittman looks like the odd man out there in Indy. Seems like Richardson and Pierce might be developing some chemistry. Two TDs in two games shows me there’s some trust there.

No he’s gone so I’m looking for upside in a full ppr even though I have JT downs did do some things last year and I’m way back on the ww so I’m sure pierce will be gone

I added Pierce after week 1 to see what happens. After 2 weeks there’s definitely a connection & to me he’s the WR to own in Indy. He’s a downfield threat & Richardson has the arm to get it there. Downs will get looks, but he did most of his work with Minshew last year. I’ve never been impressed with Pittman. He isn’t fast, doesn’t get downfield, isn’t a red zone target .

I think Downs is the easy choice between the two. While Pierce has started to show some signs, part of the reason that Richardson is firing deep so often (and Indy isn't passing the ball much) is that he doesn't have a quick separator underneath. Downs was reportedly having the best camp of all of the receivers before getting hurt and the Colts have noted they want to make sure Downs is fully healed before they bring him back. I'm sure that is for a good reason.

It’s just to imagine how bad of a pick Pittman has been to those that over paid for his services.

I heard the same.   I see Downs made a practice this week.  is he expected to play this week?   if so I'm guessing it may be a pitch count situation until they know hes fully good to go.

Practiced in full all week. Especially now with Pittman questionable, Downs may not have a choice but to play a lot of snaps.
