Go long 0 Posted October 4, 2024 RB bench is getting thin and Zeke and Rico are horrible. I heard they are soon going to elevate Dalvin from the practice squad. Is it even worth it to pick him up?
[echo] 82 Posted October 4, 2024 i just did some looking at him as well.. how could he not take the RB1 slot, if they decide to elevate him? im in a 16 team.. any chance at a RB1/2 is valuable.. im still holding Brooks (Carolina).. with hope, but Hubbard looks like Barry Sanders
weepaws 3,154 Posted October 4, 2024 I think picking up D Cook depends on the weakness of ones rbs.
polecatt 474 Posted October 4, 2024 I would have to be really desperate at RB to pick him up. For one thing, I don't think he's that good any more. Even if he does become the bell cow, I don't think he's gonna be very productive. Second, there's gonna have to be injuries to Dowdle and Zeke at the same time for him to have any value. Third, and this one is the most important, the Cowboys don't really want to run the football that much. So even if he get in there, just him, I wouldn't expect a great workload. Lots of empty touches at best.

I do think hes worth a pickup. I personally have one team that has been decimated with injuries and I'd love to have a Dalvin cook to stash on my bench. if at some they announce he will start he may be worth sticking in your lineup if your starters are out like what I'm dealing with in that one league. but yeah, hes mostly a flex play I'd bet. but hes not so old that he cannot be productive so if hes in great shape, there is the chance he can do this provided the line can perform at a reasonable level. It certainly depends on your team and league. I have 3 RBs, Kyren Williams, Kenneth Walker, and Zack Moss. The first two are my starters, and Moss is good depth. I"m not flexing any of them. They all have different bye weeks. That's how my RBs are gonna go for the rest of the season. Hopefully. If I have injuries, I'll deal with it at the time. There's just too little value at RB, and too much at other positions to roster more than that for me. There's 20+ RBs on the waiver wire right now with basically the same value, and that is they're gonna give you peanuts unless you get lucky and they score a TD. Guys like Dalvin Cook and Kareem Hunt, certainly intriguing, and worth a shot if need be, but I'm not going out of my way for either right now.

Cook looks like hes a couple weeks away yet. Last I saw, Dallas is making like they are happy with the run game. could be a smoke screen, but at the end of the day, the time horizon for him is a little longer. LaChup 228 Posted October 5, 2024 He has no fantasy value on Dallas. For him to be good, he needs to go to a good team......like Carolina or something.
BufordT 427 Posted October 5, 2024 They're starting to show faith in Rico Dowdle, who in my opinion has been pretty good this year. If he regresses, at that point, D Cook could get a look.
