I also agree with this.  Hunter is a true talent.  Just imagine how good he could be once he gets coaching from a real coach.

I don't think they'll have a shot at getting Hunter. He'll go at 3 to the Giants so I think the PATS best way to go would be get O'line help with Armand Membou and then hopefully if he's.still there WR Matthew Golden. There's a chance Golden may not be there for their 2nd rounder so they may look to take defensive help. Either way taking.Membou's a good.choice. Have to protect Maye.

The problem that I have with Golden is my fear that he is just the most recent iteration of Darrius Heyward-Bey and John Ross. If Hunter is gone by 4 (which he probably will be), then I would try to trade back to the 9-12 range and grab an extra 3rd r ounder in the process. That way, the Pats could use the extra 3rd to grab Trapilo the 6'8" LT from BC. He looks like he could be a solid RT, if not LT in the NFL with a year of coaching.

Well yes Iceman youmdon'treally know a.receiver.is.gonna turn out unless they're graded high going into the draft. Golden could end up the best of the receiving class and I think that they should approach as if he'd going to be good for the PATS. Certainly have Drake Maye for his QB I'd say he chances are better than average thar he turns out to be a good productive WR. As I had said I still.thinknthey should draft an O-lineman that they feel is the best for their system. You don't want to hinder Maye's development and protecting him should be paramount. I think the guy they should draft is Membou at 4 because odds are Hunter won't be there  but if he is the.they need to run to the podium to pick him. There's a chance the first 3 picks couldend up being Ward, Carter and Sanders although I think QB Sanders gets drafted at #9 by the Saints. The PATS defense isn't terrible so I don't see them.taking a defensive guy at 4 so just simplify.the thing and take the best O-lineman and be happy with it.

The Pats have to come out of this draft with a Top WR. They may move around to grab one

They messed up by winning and not getting that #1 overall pick. They could of traded that for a haul and be set.

Yrs, I certainly agree with you on that Weepaws.aybe they could take their early 2nd round pick and move back jnto the first round to get a receiver they think can be their WR1. There seems to be a.decent amount.of.young talentedWRs in this class so they should be able to snag one with promise. Surely Dtake Maye would like to see them.get on ofnthe top graded receivers in this draft.

Well .. they did give a Rookie QB his first start in that game.  Thing is: they played BUF who had nothing to play for.  AND - being in the same division, BUF benefited by losing / so that NE couldn't significantly better its roster by losing and getting the overall #1 pick.

They missed out on Daniels for the same reason. How different things could be.....
