Mexican chickens are more promiscuous.  Canadian chickens have to do something during those long cold winters.

Liar.  They are $6.99 at Vons and Albertsons in LA.  The price is also a reflection that you live in a high cost of living area and your state leadership sucks balls.

I found them there for $4.99. Trump is even working on Easter!

This is why Canada has plenty of eggs — and the U.S. doesn't By Scott Horsley | Tuesday, March 18, 2025

We have not had any shortage of eggs," says Mike von Massow, a food economist at the University of Guelph, in Ontario. "We can choose from 14 different types of eggs."

That's a stark contrast with the U.S., where avian flu and efforts to contain it have wiped out tens of millions of egg-laying chickens, forcing some supermarkets to limit egg purchases and driving restaurant chains like Denny's and Waffle House to add a surcharge on egg dishes.

Meanwhile, shoppers just north of the border have plenty of eggs to go with their Canadian bacon.

"I get calls from reporters here in Canada and they say, 'We're hearing all this about eggs,'" von Massow says. "And I say, 'Well, that's in the U.S. It's not happening here.'"

Canada also has fewer free-range chickens, which are more susceptible to getting infected.

Who would have guessed secondary effects of idiot leftist policies would be consequential. 🤷🏻

From the next paragraph in your article

“Canadian chickens can catch avian flu, just like their American cousins. But the impact on Canada's egg supply has so far been limited.

Von Massow suggests a number of explanations for that. It gets colder in Canada, so barns are more tightly sealed, which helps keep flu virus carried by wild birds out. Canada also has fewer free-range chickens, which are more susceptible to getting infected.

But perhaps the biggest difference is that egg farms in Canada are much smaller, so when one farm does suffer a flu outbreak, the effects are less far-reaching. The typical egg farm in Canada has about 25,000 laying hens, whereas many farms in the U.S. have well over a million. In effect, American farmers have put a lot more of their eggs in a relatively small number of baskets.

"If individual farms represent a larger proportion of production, then when an individual farm is affected, you're taking more of that supply, right?" von Massow says”

Not angry.  Just wondering why you spend your life trolling two forums.  You had some occasional decent posts at FB Gays but here you're basically just a Sho clone.  Do with that whatever you want.

i don't recall any post of yours that hasn’t been a complaint about what I have posted or complaining about this Sho person etc.

In this thread for instance I was joking about egg prices, then commenting that this bird flu was what caused the culling of chickens and you are all pissy.

Pro tip: You can hide candy and cash in plastic eggs. It's more fun than hunting for hardboiled eggs.

Also, the climate seems fine where I am. Not sure what all the hubbub is about.:dunno:

Pro tip: know the topic of what is being discussed. And the climate stuff was sarcasm.

This has nothing to do with what the governor is preaching. Nothing wrong with plastic eggs, but, given what she has said, she can't afford eggs. But somehow she can afford plastic eggs with treats in them that are each individually more expensive than actual eggs...? Tell me how this all works in her eyes? Or is she just giving them empty plastic eggs? These details are left unsaid and unreported.

Are you guys really this dumb? She’s not talking about eggs for her family, she’s talking about the Egg Roll which is a large event. They have a budget for it and this year the eggs exceed it. How can you guys be this dense? Actually you voted for Trump right? Never mind.

This is funny. “Large event”. How many kids do you think are at the governors mansion in Albany NY from  the neighborhood, like she said? I’ll be generous and say it’s 100, even though it’s not. If every kid had a dozen eggs, and I’ll say it’s three dollars more a dozen than last year, even though it’s not, that’s  an extra 300 dollars. BFD. You spent more than that on take out last week.  She says something stupid like that and you lap it up like the useful idiot you are.  I say it all the time. You people like being lied to. You need it.  And you’re the one calling others dense.

He won't give the numbers of how much more it would cost. Because he's a woke, liberal collective automaton.

Focking cult member.

It's so dumb that any one of us even respond to him and the other dumbass liberals. They brought down one site, now they want to do the same to another.

They are the termites of social media and politics.

What? This makes no sense.

And I knew the climate stuff was sarcasm because it came out of left field.

My point, regardless of whether or not the governor can afford eggs for the event, is that she shouldn't be using real eggs when there is an alternative that doesn't exacerbate the current egg situation.

If we had a surplus of eggs and they were a dime a dozen, sure, have at it. But that isn't the case right now.
