This seems like excellent news. As always it’s best not to get too confident but it sure sounds good on paper.

So Mr. Art O’Deal will at some point get it through his thick skull that Hamas won’t accept all of his conditions & he will have to choose between his Arab partners who hold his leash & Netanyahu. He’s always winding up in these situations where he overleverages himself.

IMO the Qatar attack was the end of it. My guess is Trump will listen to the Arabs who’ve invested heavily in him. Netanyahu is just a political chip.

Should have taken the Biden route I guess. Or maybe Obama?

Great news and good job to Don if it holds.  Now we wait to see if Israel actually stops bombing.

Actually this is one place Obama & Netanyahu (& maybe soon Trump) merge. They both tolerated Hamas’ existence as the government in Gaza.

Be honest. If Trump wasn’t involved in this you wouldn’t be able to be any more confident. “As always”… c’mon dude.

It looks like Hamas has agreed to a totally separate peace deal than the one Netanyahu agreed to. Negotiations will take place in Cairo so nothing has been agreed to. It also appears the US has given Qatar a NATO-like defense guarantee. Netanyahu really screwed up when he attacked Qatar. It feels like the sands have shifted on Hamas’ favor now as Qatar backs Hamas.

Trump has issued a demand that Israel stop bombing Gaza, as apparently they are violating the cease fire. Man.

Israel has no choice but to come correct with Trump. They need us. If Trump cuts off arms sales then they're done.

Of course, but he’s chosen now to do it. Qatar yanks Trump’s chain, Trump yanks Israel’s.

Imagine hating your own people this much.  :(

Also, this post is certainly worth killing someone over.  I'm surprised Israel hasn't killed him, his wife, his kids, his parents, and his cousins already.

Also also, Hamas hasn't accepted anything, other than Israel to stop killing them.  Hamas is stalling.  "Starting talks?"

The IDF will be withdrawing. Wow. Just a reminder, just this week Netanyahu was forced to personally read an apology letter to Qatar from the White House while sitting next to Trump. The worm has certainly turned. A free plane will certainly buy a lot apparently.

MAGAs should start preparing to change their stance on Israel to fit Daddy’s latest whim.

Many already have, which I think is part of the reason this is happening.  It’s mostly only old farts still hanging onto the idea that Israel can do wrong

Being against actions of the Israeli government isn’t anti-Semitic, Jerry.

Also it’s cute that you seem to think that since they didn’t kill this one guy, that they must not be targeting journalists for their journalism.

It’s funny to see MAGAs abandon their principles in real time to fit Daddy’s needs.

Funny in a sad clown sort of way. 🤡

Eh so I’m trying to figure this out. There was a cease fire agreement in January, hostages were exchanged, Trump opposed it. Israel violated the hostage / cease fire deal all over the place & committed war crimes with our weapons, & made us attack Iran. Now Trump leaps to his patrons’ defense, & now Hamas has not provided a timeline for handing over hostages, Hamas remains as an entity, & Israel has to withdraw.

In the interim several countries - including our allies, who used to listen to us - recognized Palestine as a state. And the US has completely done a heal turn towards the Arabs. And the WHITE HOUSE is posting statements by Hamas.

This is starting to look like Trump’s Afghanistan deal. It must & shall be defended.

Um no. My reason for skepticism is that I have tried to pretty carefully follow the Israeli- Palestinian conflict my entire life.

As far as Donald Trump goes, while I haven’t been happy with his actions and statements about this issue in the past, and overall I think as you know that he is a horrible President, I have no current criticisms of his conduct here. In fact I support him here and think he is doing a very good job.

I’ll say it again, I’m against this. We’re allowed to be against things in maga, unlike with libtardia.  That’s how you end up with people saying men can get pregnant.

The ones who had already changed their mind did so because they actually have principles and realized that Israel, while not as bad as Hamas, is nowhere near the “most moral army in the world” and has taken the response to Oct 7th, which was initially justified, way too far.

There’s a slice of the far right that has never been fully bought into maga because of Trump’s devotion to Israel.

Trump is not devoted Israel. Trump is devoted, as always, to Trump, and whatever makes him looks good.

GC MAGAs have spent the year defending foreign bribes, bitcoin grift, a child sex ring coverup etc.

Their only principle is loyalty to Daddy.

GC yes.  But many younger MAGA’s are not so devoted to Israel.  Including many that followed Charlie Kirk for example.

I agree with that, & IMO right now Trump believed what’s good for Qatar is good for Trump.

You heard of Project 2025, right? We’ll get ready for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030.”

>>Under Vision 2030, Riyadh is recasting defense not only as deterrence, but also as an industrial policy—a vehicle for jobs, technology acquisition, and for retaining some value locally. In this setting, defense cooperation with Washington looks less like a one-way security guarantee and more like industrial bargaining over who captures the economic rents of modernization—through offsets, joint ventures, and licensing. The ambition is clear, so are the risks. While these mechanisms promise localization and capability, U.S. commitment remains under question.<<

- Supposedly the Arabs are envisioning Gaza as the next Silicon Valley with the USA paying for it.
