Defense Secretary Hegseth considers reversing Army ban on aggressive 'shark attack' training 🏆 LET'S GO!

Recommended Posts

This is wonderful. Make Men Men again! They used to beat the hell out of us, made us tough as F.

- Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is considering reversing a ban on the "shark attack," the time-honored aggressive practice used by drill sergeants to train U.S. Army recruits in basic training.

The practice was usually employed at the beginning of training by having several drill sergeants swarming trainees and yelling in their faces at the top of their lungs.

"It starts at basic training. It starts at our military academies," Hegseth said Thursday during an appearance on "The Will Cain Show."

"We are going back to basics. Drill sergeants will be drill sergeants with knife hands who ensure, who maintain good order and discipline and train up great recruits who will make great formations. Just like we need military officers with that same rigorous discipline and background. So, we're going back to the basics, and it's bearing fruit."

Liberals won't like this. Pelosi came out the other day screaming how she has to protect democracy and fight for getting children sex changes.

Why "shark attack" training was discontinued:

https://thehill.com/policy/defense/5443209-hegseth-army-basic-training/#:~:text=The Army began phasing out, made up of all volunteers.

The Army began phasing out shark attacks prior to mostly ending the practice in 2020, with the U.S. Army Infantry School at Fort Benning, Ga., deciding the practice was not as effective for training infantry soldiers, given it was developed when most soldiers were draftees. Today’s force is made up of all volunteers.

“The shark attack was seen as a way to launch trainees into a whole new way of life in which they’d have to obey the Army’s rules and listen closely to and follow instructions,” officials said in a September 2020 Army news story. “This was deemed especially necessary during the Vietnam War period, when vast numbers of those in uniform were draftees. After the Vietnam War, authorities ended the draft and the Army has been all-volunteer since.”

Cowardly pansies like yourself should stay out of threads that discuss any of the armed services or national defense.

You have no business being in here whatsoever.

Hopefully you didn’t learn how to be a homophobe and sexist while in the military

Squid: Never heard of shark attack training until he read a post at fftoday. Furiously scours the innerwebs until he finds a link criticizing the practice and feels the need to post it in response. Even though he knows nothing about it.

I don't know when it changed but by 1989, the drill sergeants weren't allowed to touch us unless it was something like straightening a crooked ribbon on the dress greens. We were, however, frequently given an earful under the shark attack.

My daughter just graduated basic training on Thursday, I should ask her about this. I'll tell you this much that shocked me. I've never seen such a filthy latrine as I did when I had to relieve myself at her barracks. Until this week, I could never have imagined basic training without scrubbing every surface area and every fixture in the place until it was spotless. Those toilets were utterly nasty. They hadn't been cleaned in weeks or longer. No restaurant would ever get a license with facilities like that.

Not liking you is not an equivalency to being a homophobe timboy. Just because you are gay doesn't mean people hate you for that specific feature about yourself. It might add to it, but not necessarily the full truth.

I'm just sayin. :dunno:

same here.  USMC 1990 - bathrooms couldn't even have so much as a drop of water on the sink, much less anything on the toilets themselves.  Very embarrassing for the drill instructors to even allow this to happen.

You used the women's restroom at a military base? Did you squat when you peed?

Did you have to pay to get a tampon out of the dispenser, or did the military provide them?

Which branch of the service did you serve in to make him proud?

He never said that Lib Boy! You should probably read your own fake news stories before you post lies.

"The report featured a pastor from Wilson’s church advocating the repeal of women’s right to vote from the Constitution, and another pastor saying that in his ideal world, people would vote as households".

WASHINGTON (AP) — The man who oversees the nation’s military reposted a video about a Christian nationalist church that included various pastors saying women should no longer be allowed to vote.

So if someone reposted tranny stuff, you'd just chalk that up as a nothingburger and not take a hard look at the reposter.

🤣

You're dumb.

You don't quote the person who re-posts a story,  you quote the author of the story.

Why would he repost a video of someone saying women shouldn't be allowed to vote?

I guess all those he-man "shark attacks" caused brain damage.
