We all see what you did there, Tim.  Red States but solid blue cities is what you meant, right?  Because it's liberal enclaves that have the most crime and where the cockroaches need to be eliminated from.

If you want to make that separate point, go ahead: we can argue it. But the larger point is that Trump isn’t sending troops in. Because of the Republican governors.

DC isn't a state.  It's isn't run by a Governor.  What are you talking about?

He’s attacking Democrats. That’s the point.

Well no sh#t.  They are the worst leaders and crime runs rampant in most, if not all, of their cities.  Your side LITERALLY let's criminals go free or doesn't even prosecute them.  Now the adults have to take charge YET again.  Blue cities are crime-ridden cesspools.

First I don’t have a side. Please take a look at my comments in the latest Newsom thread regarding what I think of sides.

Second,  I would agree that Democratic led cities have made a lot of mistakes in fighting against crime in the past. So have Republicans. There is no empirical evidence linking high crime to one political party of the other:

https://ash.harvard.edu/articles/crime-is-nonpartisan-and-the-blame-game-on-crime-in-cities-is-wrong-on-both-sides/

Now in recent years a lot of the innovative thinking on this issue has come in Democratic led cities. That’s why high crime in DC, Baltimore, Los Angeles, is actually reduced. It’s not yet safe in ANY of these places but crime is down. We should study why and encourage these changes rather than cut funding for them and rush in with a bludgeoning, heavy handed approach as you seem to favor.

Then why isn’t Trump sending national guard into high crime cities in red states, like Memphis or Houston?

The answer obviously is that this isn’t about fighting crime, it’s about fighting Trump’s enemies. And it’s performative.

Because he’s starting with the capitol

Correct. And it's a major destination place for both Americans and visitors from other countries. It's an intelligent move to protect those who don't know the city and are ripe for the picking. It's as good a place to start as any.

I wonder if Tim was in the California thread when newsoulini cleaned Frisco for the commie visit wondering why he wasn’t cleaning LA

The two earners and spenders could itemize all their deductions together while it's no big deal for the women to file as single because they didn't make any money?

Keep in mind, I said in my initial post that people living together and sharing expenses, should be able to file joint returns.  So, if the two men are sharing the house and expenses, where are their wives living?  Do they each own their own house?  So two couples own 3 houses so that the two high earners can file jointly and save on taxes?

If the women aren't bringing in a lot of money, how are they living in those houses?  How are they not getting investigated?
