Let's talk real life

You are going on about how this is how the real world works with wars and the like. I’m sure if I looked you probably parroted this line from him.

Look, I know he’s your hero and all but it’s ok to say he just says dumb stuff all the time..,like this. He said it hundreds of times while when he was a candidate.

Did anyone tell Gutterboy that Russia invaded Ukraine under Obama and he gave Ukraine nothing to defend themselves with? He had sent word to Putin that he would be more flexible prior to them invading though.

Of course I know this, what's your point?  What does this have to do with Trump being Putins puppet?

Sir Keir Starmer has praised Donald Trump’s offer of an Article 5-style security guarantee for Ukraine, as European leaders prepared to head to Washington for a crucial meeting with the US president and Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Prime Minister chaired a meeting with Ukraine’s president and members of the Coalition of the Willing on Sunday.

Afterwards, Downing Street said the leaders “commended President Trump’s commitment to providing security guarantees to Ukraine, in which the Coalition of the Willing will play a vital role through the Multinational Force Ukraine, among other measures.”

The US is understood to have offered a Nato-style collective defence guarantee for Ukraine, which special envoy Steve Witkoff described as “game-changing”.

You don't like the idea of a Nato style collective defense for Ukraine because of Trump?  You have serious issues.  But we all knew that already.

You can't read.

Security guarantee is a no brainer which trump and Putin have both objected to.  If they both now agree to it, that would be huge.  It's essentially admitting Ukraine into NATO.

I'm skeptical.  It could just be trump's dementia.

Didn’t Trump close down Putins pipeline into Europe and tell the EU to stop buying Russian energy? Do you think that’s what a puppet does ?

You're the one that didn't read Rusty's article chump. It was Trump's idea and they are saying Putin agreed to it. Take a few minutes and educate yourself with the latest news.

Mr Witkoff confirmed today that Vladimir Putin had agreed to the guarantee at talks in Alaska, saying it was “the first time we had ever heard the Russians agree to that”.

So much for nothing happened in Alaska.

Doh!

He waited years to sanction it, then after it was pretty much done, he sanctioned it, they finished it anyway, and when it was done Biden lifted the sanctions.

Trump is the puppet, we saw it again Friday.

You can't read.  I said it would be great news.

Starmer is repeating what Trump said.

It's weird that this was not discussed after the summit, right?  Why did this news get released today?

If it's true it's great news and likely leads to the end of the war.  I'd like to hear this from Russia.

Sanctions banned the direct and indirect use of the Nord Stream pipelines, effectively preventing gas from flowing through them.

Tiny Z not dismissing the idea of conceding land. Says Ukraine must be part of that discussion. Duh.

But also hinted that he won't meet with Russia to discuss without a ceasefire. If anyone derails this it will be this crybaby.

Another issue that nobody wants to discuss: if Ukraine is forced to give up the Donbas what happens to the 1.5 million Ukrainian refugees who fled the region when Russia attacked? We would be creating a new Palestinian problem, with all that entails.

I would need to see the details which I don’t have. I don’t believe that Ukraine should be forced to give up parts of the Donbas that they’ve kept from the Russians with the blood of their people. And I also don’t believe that it’s in the United States interests to give a long term military commitment (meaning our boots on the ground) to Ukraine.
if either of these conditions are part of the agreement then I would be opposed. If they’re not then I might be open to it.

Can they pick berries, wash dishes, clean hotel rooms or do landscaping? If so we'll take e'm.

We have a lot of job openings

Here is witkoff talking about these security guarantees...

Doesn't sound too convincing.

Also let's not forget that Budapest memorandum.

Your BDS won't let you let go of the whole Biden cancer remark, the repeating of which does nothing to offset that Trump bragged and bragged and bragged about he would stop the war before his inauguration and that he would end it on Day 1.

MAGAs are too dumb to see the difference between Trump's bold predicition and the MAGA whatabout to Biden's cancer remark.

But seeing as you're so obsessed over it, then apply equal outrage to the two and agree that Trump's claim was as stupid as what you perceive Biden's claim to have been.

If they're that much the same, then be outraged that Trump was unable to accomplish what and when he said he would accomplish it. Admit that at best, Trump is no better than Biden!

Ukrainians displaced from this war to the U.S., specifically Lincoln Nebraska are concerned the war will end and they are pretty sure they will be sent back to Ukraine and they don't want to leave here and go back there as they're saying they have nothing to go back to.

WRONG!

Quote
The United States began providing military aid to Ukraine in 2014, following Russia's annexation of Crimea and support for separatists in eastern Ukraine. This initial assistance included equipment like Humvees, patrol boats, and counterartillery radar. While the US Congress authorized $350 million in security assistance in 2014, including anti-tank weapons, President Obama initially opted not to authorize the sale or financing of lethal weapons. However, private sales of US-made lethal weapons were reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis. After Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022, the US significantly increased its military aid to Ukraine, providing a wide range of weapons and equipment.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • 2014:
Following the annexation of Crimea and the conflict in eastern Ukraine, the US Congress passed the Ukraine Freedom Support Act, authorizing $350 million in security assistance.

  • 2015-2016:
While President Obama initially restricted lethal weapons transfers, the State Department authorized nearly $27 million of commercial defense articles and services to Ukraine in 2016, with some classified as lethal weaponry.

🤣
