A base on the far side of the moon?

Interested to take the temp in the room on what people may think of this possibility. Every so often I’ll watch a doc and this seems to come up quite a bit. I’m not saying I believe this for sure but I wouldn’t be surprised. Whose it may be I have no idea

Ok so not what I was initially wanting to talk about but since u brought it up. I’m assuming any footage from the moon landing u think was shot in Hollywood or something? And if so where exactly do u think these astronauts went once they were launched?

Just having some fun. I don't know what I believe. I can be convinced either way. Just does seem weird we haven't been there ever since

Thanks that was informative. There is also something that was briefly mentioned about the size of the moon relative to the earth. I have read before that I believe the ratios of the sun to the moon to the earth line up almost exactly during an eclipse. Not sure if that just naturally occurred somehow over time or something else?

Good tip. But I would say this may not be that much different than people finding out there was land when they they sailed across the Atlantic and lo and behold found their were people. Only this time it’s space and not an ocean. Not that big a stretch in my opinion

Why the far side?  We know little to nothing about it, and communication would be difficult if not impossible.

Also, there are high points at the poles that have eternal sunlight.  Solar is a likely power source for such a base, although by the time we're actually ready, we might have small, transportable nuclear power sources (that can survive liftoff.   )

He had a video out about a year ago where he mentioned doing smaller shows and they are now about 20 minutes.  I think he was suffering from burn out.

I get what you’re saying about solar energy. My thought is that if this were true part of the reasoning any base would be on that side is the idea that either of origin from here or elsewhere they know that it remains hidden to earth.

Google says that over 100 spacecraft have orbited the moon, from a variety of countries.  China landed on the far side in 2019 and again in 2024 where they collected samples, but those were unmanned ships.  I don't think it's very likely that there is anything on the far side.
