Exactly.  That also supports the theory that he could have still been (he definitely was before) a Republican that just didn’t like Trump.  Even if killing Trump didn’t cause civil war, it would have basically guaranteed whoever replaced Trump for the R’s would have won the election…as long as the public blamed a lib and didn’t find out the shooter’s political views before the election of course.

Where is @nobody to tell us about Occam’s razor when you need him.  I know people can convert from Republican to Democrat (and vice versa), but it seems unlikely for someone to go from saying Democrats need their heads chopped off to becoming one of said Democrats a few years later.
