My grandparents had a very good relationship. Somewhere in my mind I wanted a good wife when I was younger.

The real answer is that looks are a proxy for fertility.  Symmetrical features are due to healthy genes which replicated efficiently.  A 70% waist to hip ratio indicates a good body for giving birth.  Breasts feed our babies.

This is for the women we choose to be monogamous with.  If we bang some other chick who we aren't tied to but they have our baby (from a caveman perspective), that's fine, maybe the kid will live and our genes will continue on.

Both sets of grandparents were married until death.  My parents have been married for 54 years.  Marriage was always more important to me than hookups.  Thankfully, college let me get my fill of hookups before the real world kicked in and I started looking for a wife.
