I dunno.  Gutter is a troll, but I like to push him to see how far he'll take it.

Moderate Tim literally thinks he's moderate.  He's somewhere on the autism scale, so I feel kinda bad telling him that he isn't moderate, but I think a little tough love is a good thing here.

It said they “threatened Nigeria,” and added them to a list of countries that doesn’t “secure religious freedom for its citizens.”

I mean I know you’re a sheep that will support whatever the admin does, but this feels like a repeat of Venezuela.  “We’re just blowing up drug dealers!!” quickly became “your oil tanker is now mine”

To people saying the attack doesn't make america safer... 

If my hypothesis is correct that the "saving Christians" thing is just pretense to create a situation that secures access to resources, it very much is in the interest of america much more so than protecting some american Christians that might be getting persecuted in nigeria.

See the president shouldn't really be concerned about 1, 2, 10, 100, 1000, 5000, 100,000, shoot even a million individuals.  The president's job is to worry about national security for 340 million americans, and securing resources goes much further than saving a few 100 citizens. 

And I know you guys eat it when some candidate starts talking about Joe the plumber and grandma's finances, but you should really run the other way when you hear that from a presidential candidate because they're either playing you or they don't understand the job if they're worrying about specific individuals and not the nation as a whole.

If this helps push out Russia’s influence from Nigeria, ok good. But indications so far is that it’s an ineffective show of force.

China is investing money into the country. Russia is pushing an information campaign. The U.S. pulled USAID and VoA. Anybody with even one smidgen of strategic thinking can tell you this isn’t the path to displacing Chinese and Russian influence.

We ceded 2 strengths in the country due to the misguided DOGE defenestration. Dropping some bombs in a field in a Muslim majority area of Nigeria won’t do jack .
