OB1 33 Posted August 12, 2003 Alright, now that we've all been liberated from this craptastical fraft, there are a few things that I need to go over. First, I will most likely enter the rosters later tonight as i'm knee deep in my new job right now. Second, there is the business of Free agency. It will be first come first served until the week before the season starts. After that i'd like your opinion on the options as I see them. Yahoo is limited, but it's free which is why we chose it. Threre does not appear to be a waiver process that I can see outside of the waivers on players recently dropped. Basically we can do one of two things: 1. Continue as we did last year and have a waiver wire priority for each week based on the standings. Every wednesday would be the deadline/pickup date. After the Wednesday deadline it would be first come first served on all players not dropped on Wednesday. This time the rosters will actually be locked down so people can't make pickups when they aren't supposed to, meaning e-mails to me will be the only way to submit picks at any point during the week. 2. Just open the site up and make it FCFS for the entire season and let the site handle the waivers on released players. This is the shark way, and I know that many here don't have 24/7 access, so they are at a disadvantage this way. My plan is to go with option 1 since that is how we had it last year. Unless a majority of owners want FCFS. Let me know.
OB1 33 Posted August 12, 2003 Also, whomever failed to sign up on the Yahoo site please do so now. I only count 15 teams but haven't had time to figure out who is missing.
Call me...Tim? 0 Posted August 12, 2003 Option 1 is better. It's not fair that those of us who are an arm's reach from a CPU should have an advantage over those of us who actually do some work during the day.
windycityguy 1 Posted August 12, 2003 I am signed up and I don't really care. Would prefer #2 since it's easier but not a big deal for me.
Scooby 0 Posted August 12, 2003 I would say 1..As long as us teams with retired playahs get a new team member right away..

ICEMAN 45 Posted August 12, 2003 Option #1 is the way to go.
The Unknown Soldier 0 Posted August 12, 2003 Option #1 is fairer, but as one of the people with semi-access (not a lot during the day), I wouldn't care if we used option #2. Easier and what I'm used to.
Orgazmo 2 Posted August 12, 2003 #1 is the fair route, IMO, but If we go with #2, I WILL make every attempt to fock everyone over - so that's pretty greta.
Mark Buffington 3 Posted August 13, 2003 I was the lone team who didn't sign up. I corrected that now AT FOUR O'CLOCK IN THE FOCKING MORNING.

In keeping with the craptastic tradition of this league, the rosters will not be in tonight. We had a playoff Softball game and lost. I lined out to 3rd base with the bases loaded and 2 outs in the 5th down 5 runs. We wound up losing 16-13. I sucked ass tonight and therefore got piss drunk after the game to kill the pain. Biatch away!

OB1 33 Posted August 16, 2003 The rosters are 3/4 of the way in. They won't show up on the site until all rosters are full. CMT, can you send me the roster sheet you made? The rosters thread is incomplete, with most teams only having 13-14 players listed. Alphabetical order within the teams would be best since you had asked before, but nay list of full rosters will do. OB1 33 Posted August 19, 2003 Call me...Tim?: Sorry, OB1 I didn't see this until today. I wa sout of town Th-Sun. Anyway, my list wasn't alphabetized, but rather organized simply by pick. Sorry. No worries. Orgazmo mailed me a roster list. I copied it to a text file, replaced all the spaces with commas and imported into excel as a (CSV) comma seperated value file. Once in Excel I sorted each team alphabetically.
