Hey guys. Anyone here know how it's done? The ball I got is slick as hell. And I always hear about the trainers breaking in the game balls.

I recently bought one at D!ck's Sporting Goods for $15.00 that was 'tackified'. Great ball right off the bat.

 

Try scuffing it up a little with some 220 grit sandpaper or emory cloth.

Work the ball with your hands and it should get more grippable. Most quality footballs have a resin applied to it that is slippery at first but once it is rubbed down it becomes stickier.
